Come on everybody, be real. Calzaghe is going to beat Jones no bother.

No doubt Joe can, but it will be a bother!

My judgement of the fights had nothing to do with the commentation.
First, I'm not sure what makes you think more people thought Taylor won. Please show me when, where, how and the results of this poll you conducted.

Second, my point wasn't that Taylor missed most of his punches. I responded to the statement that Hops wasn't busy enough. Point is, Taylor threw a lot more but...who cares if most missed? You don't score ineffective aggression (well, some of us do).

Finally, how have you always known compu-box to be accurate? Please show me when, where, how and the results of this test you did to prove accuracy.

I scored the second fight a draw. That was a terrible fight to watch.

But the first was pure mastery by Hopkins IMO. He just broke Taylor down, part by part. I was very surprised by Taylor's adjustments in the rematch - and impressed. Hops did what he always does but Taylor rose to the occasion a bit.

By saying this, you acually admitt to Taylor being more prepared and possibly better than Calzaghe. Are you ready to leave that out there? I don't think he is either. And it had nothing to do with which stance he fights with. Go look at Hopkins win record against right handed fighters too. I gaurantee it is just as impressive. Calzaghe landed nothing hard on Hopkins the whole night, while Taylor did. I give Joe credit for landing more punches than anyone , but B-hop landed the ones that did more damage.

Definitely agree with you there, although Joe C. did land some hard lefts in the second half of the fight - fairly clean too.

I had Taylor winning both Hopkins fights fair and square. It wasn't so much that he did anything incredible, or even very good, but Hopkins simply did too little. Taylor deserved the points verdicts.

Ok, keep telling yourself that and somehow Calzaghe will get motivated by it. LOL

Chase, when you say "keep telling yourself that" you talk as though Calzaghe is some sort of joke and the idea of him winning is somehow ridiculous. In fact in any fight with Jones Calzaghe will start as favourite, and if any set of fans are "telling themselves" something, its is those who pick Jones.

Jones has not beaten a live opponent in years, and has lost each and every time he has faced an upper echelon fighter since 2004. In that time Calzaghe has faced and beaten some of the toughest opponets of his career. These aren't opinions, they are facts, and talking as though Roy has anything but a small chance is simply denying reality.
