i Personally Pick Roy To Pick Win This Fight. I Personally Hate Calzaghe's Style. He Fights Like A Ameteurish *****. I Do Believe He Beat Hopkins Convincingly But Did It Was Slaps.the Only People Calzaghe Has Beaten Worthwhile Was Jeff Lacy?? Mikkel Kessler?? A Very Past His Prime Bernard Hopkins?? And Lets Not Forget About The Manfredo Fight...the Worst, And Most Ridiculous Stoppage In The History Of The Sport

Just don't understand how anybody can score that first fight for JT. Hops dominated.
Lets see: 3 judges with boxing title fight experience against your opinion. I tend to go with the judges ruling, and my own eyes.

I cannot remember how compu-box had it, but I gaurantee that Taylor landed more punches in both fights. Hopkins did'nt come even remotely close to dominating.

I read in an interview where stated that hes probably slowed down a little... but that he probably hits a little harder now, and he feels hes a lot wiser now, as far as adapting...

Roy is an amazing athlete... is decline was because of the weight loss that had the effect on his body... that was 4 years ago... I think hes healthy, he has no bad habits, hes focused, determined, and i know hes been training this entire time for this fight...

The people that cast the stone of "hes a shell" and "hes shot" do not seem to really study where roy truly is right now...

Is he what he used to be? Absolutely not... but that doesnt mean he can't fight, and it doesn't mean he can't beat you...

Roy does subtle things that spoil you, subtle things that you don't realize until your literally standing across the ring from him....

Joe being a southpaw, standing across from roy.. is going to see... Roys left hand extended out... blocking the site of joes jab... when joe sees the line of site for his jab, all he will see is roys glove extended out, blocking his sight...

Roys right hand will also be ready once joe comes in... roy will be looking to use joes aggressiveness and workrate completely against him... the more joe throws punches, the more he leaves himself open to be hit, and once roy knows he can hit you... he will completely take advantage of it...

We all saw what happens to a high work rate fighter once he fights a technical counter puncher... the work rate completely drops off, because if you come in flurrying and all the sudden get a 90mph fast ball to the face... your gonna be a little more reluctant to flurry.

I cant embed the video but if u watch the first round of this fight... u can see how roy can spoil a southpaw... obviously the second round he got KOed LOL but joe doesnt have the firepower tarver does...

I really don't care how compubox had it. Compubox = two old men ringside watching the same thing we are.

And the announcing during that fight was pure garbage - there are several occasions where Hopkins lands a hard shot and Lampley calls one out for Taylor. Turn the sound off and watch it again.

I had the fight even after six, from there it was all Hopkins. I just don't understand how people say Taylor swept the first four, five, or six rounds. He didn't even win the first. And even his big moments in the second featured a hard shot to Hopkins'...shoulder blade.

Calzaghe is a Southpaw, Hopkins was 11 (8) -0 going into the fight against Southpaws and Calzaghe was the 3rd Southpaw Hopkins faced in a row, lets not forget him moving up in weight and fighting in the states for the first time.

It was always going to be harder for Calzaghe than Taylor and I think Calzaghe won by 5 clear rounds anyway whereas Taylor lost the first and won the second by 2 rounds on my scorecard.

Whatd you score their second fight? I never was able to make it through either fight, they were so incredibly uneventful. I kept getting distracted by things like the dishes drying.

Nobody cares about your scorecard. Calzaghe sucks and is going to get fed by RJJ.

You interpret it the way you like, but obviously some people though Taylor won. More so in fact than thought Hopkins won, so I'll leave it at that. I was mainly writing back because you said that Taylor missed most of his punches. Well, most fighters do. And I have always known compu-box to be pretty accurate. My judgement of the fights had nothing to do with the commentation.
