yeah, illegally headbutting people in the face intentionally in a ****ing sport(just a ****ing sport)........this guy is such an inspiration.....******.
a lot of people make bad decisions when they are kids (like de la hoya ****in 14 year old girls for example), especially if you live in an unpleasant environment. Point is hopkins turned all that around and lived a great life since making those mistakes. That's the point of the thread.
no proof equals didnt happen, btw...Comment

He went from robbing old ladies at gunpoint to robbing fight fans expecting to see a clean, entertaining fight. What an inspiration.Last edited by Jim Jeffries; 06-24-2008, 05:29 PM.Comment

His biggest accomplishment have come against smaller opposition.. he started his career of at light heavy couldn't hang and went down to middleweight. What is there to like about an ex-con who robbed innocent people?he is the number 1 hater of hopkins though. And he damn sure isn't 43 years old, so my point is there is no way he could possible know what it was like when bhop was growing up.
The guy has spent hundreds of hours talking down on hopkins and tries to discredit each and every accomplishment he ever done. Its borderline obsessive. He acts as if hopkins ****ed his wife or some **** (maybe he did, who knows?).
I too don't like Hopkins

The two biggest names on his resume are ODH and Trinidad. Just so happens there aren't any bigger names in the sport.
So let me ask you: if ODH offered you (or insert ANY pro boxers name here) $10,000,000 to fight him would you turn it down?
If you (or insert ANY pro boxers name here) were trying to unify the middleweight division and the only other belt that didn't belong to you was owned by Trinidad (40-0), would you turn it down?
LOL, **** no, no boxer in their right mind would. So this arguement is weaksauce.
He started his career at light heavy in 1988 right after he got out of jail, needed some work and came back two years later. WOWhe started his career of at light heavy couldn't hang and went down to middleweight.
I don't know, I'm an ex-con who robbed and did time and plenty of people like me. People change and if you can't see that hopkins turned his life around for the better, then I don't know what to tell ya. And that's what this thread is about: turning ones life around for the better. What is there to like about an ex-con who robbed innocent people?Last edited by ИATAS; 06-24-2008, 05:48 PM.Comment
