He is top 50 without a doubt and thats what i voted for but if he beats Joe or at least puts up a good fight against him i would say hes top 20 without question
I'd say he was a top 30 (or so) ATG. The reason I don't rate him higher is because he based his success on his athletic ability, agility, reflexes and speed alone. Had he spent more time perfecting technique and boxing skills, he'd probably have made top 10, maybe even top 5.
Having said that, I think several heavyweights could've beaten him, had he spent more time at that weight. You have to admit that, while it's impressive that a one-time middleweight could make the move through several weight classes to heavyweight and win a heavyweight title, John Ruiz isn't exactly a mover and shaker in the heavyweight class. David Tua ruined Ruiz for anything resembling boxing, and he was a perfect target for Roy. Had Jones run into someone like Holyfield in his prime, I think he'd have taken a serious beating. Remember, good little guy doesn't beat good big guy....one of the most meaningful laws of boxing.
Sorry those guys are legends but a PRIME roy would beat the **** out all four.
You're very loyal. Also very wrong. Prime Robinson KO's prime Roy within 5. The others, I'd flip a coin, but Roy would definitely stand more than a reasonable chance.
Take a closer look at that video - now deduct his skills based on the video by 50% - STILL enough to beat Calzaghe. RJJ is one of the elite fighters of the game. Too many variables to rate him accurately but based on skill - very few would of stood all 12 with him in his prime.

Not a chance in hell. Honestly as great as Ray was, Roy would clown him.
