Where Is Roy Jones On The ATG List?

You obviously didn't follow boxing during this time. Corrales didn't fight seven straight times after Mayweather - he went to jail for two years first! That's how the weight stayed down. Corrales had vacated his IBF title because he could no longer make weight - he came back down for the big payday against Mayweather only.Corrales was not weight drained, Toney was. Explain how Corrales was weight drained when he beat about 7 more fighters after his lost to Mayweather at that weigtht division, which was super featherweight. Toney moved up to light heavyweight right after his loss to Jones. I can give you many boxing articles that stated Toney circumstances. He had to be hopitalized and had to hooked up to Ivs before the bout to avoid fainting. Hatton (Unbeaten)
Corrlaes(Unbeaten)
Boldimr(Undisputed welterweight champion)
Genaro Hernandez(super featherweight champion)
Oscar De La Hoya( Junior Middleweight champion)
Jose Luis Castillio( Multiple lightweight chmapion)
Zab Judah( Former junior welterweight and undisputed welterweight champion).
These are not even it. These fighters alone are better than Jones opposition. Now, you go over Roy's opponents so we an compare them. I am very interested in seeing how he beat better line of fighters.
Hopkins and Toney are the two great fighters that he has beaten.
See above
So what were you saying?
I mean seriously, none of those guys you mentioned are worth half a James Toney. Toney struggling to make weight was nothing new. It just became an excuse when he got his a** handed to him. Only four months earlier, he looked at his absolute best dismantling Prince Charles Williams...at 168. And let's not forget that he took a year layoff and came down from 226 POUNDS to 190 in order to fight Vasily Jirov. No weight problem there...
Anyway, I won't go back and forth with this. The only people that argue Mayweather has a better resume are usually ones who didn't watch Jones in his prime, having just read about it and picked up old DVD's - they really don't know who Reggie Johnson is other than what Boxrec tells them. Not overhyping Reggie but he was a pretty ****ing good fighter.
The others who argue Floyd is better are the ones who are his staunchest fans - those who claim Toney was weight drained and Corrales wasn't; those who list the Golden Boy as some sort of big win, even though Oscar hasn't had a significant victory since 2002 and is batting under .500 since that time.
