At this rate no one will ever catch pacs title run as they would need catchweights to do it. GET IT???

Now he wants a 154 title like floyd but at 150??? And you know damn well cotto wont be able to come in over 150 while pac will, just as he did with delahoya. pac weighed more than delahoya when tehy fought!!! lol!!!!

delahoya is bigger than floyd, pac says floyd is bigger than him, yet he weighed more than delahoya when they fought!!!!

    A ****IN JOKE!

You should have read all of my post. Reread it. I said "For the title, it would have been preferable to fight at 154."

Still, you guys are talking about titles. This thread was about who you are fighting. If you complained that Manny fought a Cotto that was only 145 then if he fights a Cotto that will be 150 then that scraps whether Cotto would have beaten Manny if he was 145 or 147 for the first fight.

Hatton is not a great welterweight but he is comfortable there, it was long overdue for him to start fighting at 147, considering how heavy he got in between fights, and he was getting older too, so it wasn't as comfortable or healthy to drop back down to 140.

And against Floyd, a former Super-Feather, it didn't matter, because it's not like he was fighting a monster natural Welterweight, naturally Floyd is lighter than Hatton. So lets stop repeating the Hatton is better at 140 nonsense.

No he is not, the opponents are better at 140, they're smaller and easier to TKO, Hatton himself was probably in healthier and better shape against Collazo at 147 than he was at 140 the fight after that, dehydrating himself.

147 Hatton Version that fought Floyd >>> 140 dehydrated version that fought Pacquiao.

That he is a better fighter at 140 is a myth, he was forced to keep making that weight because his fighting style couldn't handle big, strong opponents.

Even Hatton said before the Manny fight that he lost to Floyd since he was fighting at WW and that he was king at 140 and that not Manny nor anyone else can beat him at 140.

It's not a myth as you put it. His record proved which division he fought well at.

You can't say what you say without backing it up. That is, you can't just say, it was time that Hatton fought at 147. Some fighters can fight well at one weight but are not made for the heavier divisions (for various reasons).

Thanks for the info. Don't know why I don't remember any of this **** happening. Most likely because I didn't follow Mayweather too closely at the time.
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zab_Judah

          Floyd Mayweather Jr.
          See also: Mayweather-Judah boxing match

With the loss to Baldomir, it appeared that Judah's much anticipated bout with Mayweather was off, but Judah's promoter Don King and Mayweather's promoter Bob Arum reworked the deals so the fight would go on. Mayweather was scheduled to earn a minimum $6 million while Judah was to earn $3 million plus a percentage of the profits, but because of Judah's loss, Mayweather earned a minimum $5 million while Judah was guaranteed $1 million plus a percentage of profits above $7 million.[19] The fight took place on April 8, 2006, at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

          QADASHBANYAH1:

As you see Don King and Arum reworked the deal, the term "reworked" denotes that a deal was already ready to go, but it had to be reworked because JUDAH had been beaten by Carlos Baldomir.

To further prove this Baldomir beat Judah January 7, 2006 . Now keep this in mind, because Floyd and Judah fought April 8, 2006

3 months later as you can see. This is why you keep hearing posters such as No ceilings and IMDAZED whom are knowledgeable about what transpired, calling it a tune up fight, as this is what it was. A TUNE UP FIGHT (BALDOMIR AND ZAB)

So as you can see Zab was angry, the deal was already inked between ZAB and FLOYD, ZAB WAS GOING TO GET 3 MILLION PLUS A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE, BUT SINCE HIS LOSS, HE GOT 1 MILLION PLUS A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE.

ZAB WAS SUPPOSED TO FIGHT FLOYD BUT HE LOST TO BALDOMIR, TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE BALDOMIR WAS A 10-1 UNDERDOG!!! It was the Ring upset of the year for the year 2006.

FLOYD DIDNT make zab lose, so zab is and was bitter. He fought the fight he had scheduled for april, showing you also I once made a comment that these fights are worked out in advance, its not "I am gonna fight you now".... Its usually deals already in place, and **** changes according to upsets etc. Brian Kenny didnt understand this, as Floyd told him that he didn't understand the business of boxing. Brian Kenny crucified Floyd on ESPN for fighting ZAB JUDAH instead of Baldomir, but Brian kenny as well as many PACQUIAO FANS DONT UNDERSTAND THE FIGHT GAME. Once Zab was done, it was time for BALDOMIR TO BE BEATEN, AND HE WAS BEATEN SOUNDLY. But if you go back you will see that people were saying that FLOYD WAS afraid of BALDOMIR, AND EVEN THE HBO ANNOUNCERS WERE ON baldomirs' bandwagon. They even had a special showing him in his humble upbringing selling feather dusters. Keep in mind Baldomir also was way larger than floyd so floyd fought him with speed and skill, he didnt brawl as it was reported that baldomir could have been upward of 160 on fight night.

FLOYD NEVER GETS HIS PROPS BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS BEHIND THE SCENCE.

It was the same way with margarito, even arum stated that he would fight margarito for 8 million, but he wanted 10 million for COTTO AND HATTON (10 MILLION EACH)

Now I want to show you what kind of fox arum is.....

          http://www.mlive.com/mayweather/inde...ure_maywe.html

"Arum has worked the Mayweather-dodged-my-fighters angle incessantly, and brilliantly, and the tale that Mayweather declined $8 million to fight Margarito is absolutely true."

You see this author stated that arum was running around saying mayweather dodged cotto and margarito ala' pac fans right??

but here is also what came out of arums mouth. (remember arum stated mayweather was dodging his fighters)

Floyd Mayweather Jr. rejected promoter Bob Arum's $8 million offer to fight welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito, and he instead exercised a provision in his contract to buy Arum out.

"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million."

          but remember OLD BOB ARUM.....

" Bob Arum says Mayweather is scared of losing his 40-fight unbeaten record.

"You have to understand Mayweather's psyche. Psychologically he may not be prepared to do this fight," said Arum.

"Now this is me being an amateur psychologist, but Mayweather is so tied up with the fact that nobody has beaten him, that he has a zero on his record, I don't know if he would be willing to go into the ring with anybody that could jeopardise that zero.

"He is afraid, terrified of losing that zero.

"That's why he's ducked (Shane) Mosley, (Antonio) Margarito and Cotto, and the question is will he duck Manny Pacquiao because he's so afraid of losing that zero."

You see how garbage and untrustworthy he is??

Now you should understand why we boxing followers know arum is full of **** and a walkimg contradicting machine.....

What he says is irrelevant. He is supposed to say that after a few months.

Blame it on the weight, blame it on the ref, and now I'm back better than ever. They all say that, I don't believe it and I have good reason not to.

Example: When Gatti got Ko'd by Delahoya at 147, he said that he is at his best at 140. When Gatti got TKO'd by Mayweather at 140, he said he is better off at 147 because he has trouble making 140.

When Gatti got Ko'd again at 147, he called it quits because he was out of excuses. Get the picture???

It's not a myth as you put it. His record proved which division he fought well at.

Yes his record proves that he can beat up on smaller man, it doesn't prove that he is physically better, physically more capable, or overall healthier at 140 than at 147.

The only thing that he proved at 147 is that he can't handle a bit bigger men. In Mayweather's case, he wasn't fighting a much bigger or natural Welterweight.

You can't say what you say without backing it up. That is, you can't just say, it was time that Hatton fought at 147. Some fighters can fight well at one weight but are not made for the heavier divisions (for various reasons).

Yes I can say it by using simple observation, logic and then come to a conclusion based on that observation. Logic tell you that a guy who fight after fight weighs over 170 pounds is gonna start to erode cutting that much weight fight after fight. You may get away with it while still young but once you get older, your body doesn't respond as well as it used to that much weight loss.

Hence why he looked like **** against Lazcano and almost got TKO'd.

***en bull****! Floyd was calling zab out since floyd was at 140! and to show zabs ******ity they had already agreed to fight each other BEFORE zab went on to loss to Baldi. Zab was fighting baldi as a tune up for floyd and idiot lost. So floyd beat the guy that beat zab and then went on to whoop zab too. Zab is has been *****. He should go back to fighting 4 round fights.

                he fighting a catchweight!

And he has his dreams on winning the most titles per weight class.

                Manny holds this **** correct?

But you will have to tell your son that he (manny) got titles by fighting for at least 2 of them at catchweights with limits, while coming in bigger than the people he was fighting... Lol.

hattons style worked good against smaller guys.

You seem to forget that hatton when not fighting is known as ricky fatton.

If you weigh 180, what is easier for you to make? 147 or 140??

Gatti was better at 140.... with age he couldn't do it anymore and tried 147. 147 was too big for him so he lost there too. If there was something in between 140-147, he may have fought another year or two. lol!

You need to look at Hatton's record. He doesn't even have a record at 147 to prove your point. he does have one at 140. Still, you are partly saying what I am saying in that he can't handle 147 fighters.

Still, Floyd had that advantage over Hatton and knew that at 147 it would not be as much of a risk.
