I am so genuinely gob smacked by this it's unreal, people actual think Lacy could beat Taylor, what the ****. Lacy has shown he's not at this level, he's a hype job, yet ppl are still giving the benefit of the doubt no end, its madness.

    Calzaghe schooled him, beat Hops.
Taylor beat Hops in slightly better fashion.
    Lacy struggles to beat Manfredo.

Do ppl not learn after repeatedly visibly being shown the fighter the thought was top quality, is infact not on any of these guys levels at all. It's frightening.

KrisSilver, when you do your best to post thoughtfully and insightfully like you do, it can be easy to forget just how irrational other people can be. You are absolutely right that based on the evidence that Lacy has no chance. I actually saw a poll asking if Taylor had any chance against Lacy. Wow!

That said, I hope we see a miracle and witness Lacy whoop Jermain Taylor badly. I can't think why!

Well, we all slip up on that front, first to admit I do it's normal, but this is just too perplexing for words. I just cannot believe after all that's happened to Lacy, that a decent portion of ppl still rate him as on that level, or even able to compete there. Nothing whatsoever shows that he is even near to they're level. I'm gona take note of whomever gives Lacy a decent chance, and want names as to whom would vote for him in a poll. Your judgement will then forever be put into doubt lol.

I'm amazed Taylor would take this fight too, what's to gain from beating this guy whose been so embarassingly exposed at the top level, and struggled with someone dramaticially lower level in Manfredo?

Has be taken a knock to the head and forgotten all his boxing skills? In which case maybe Lacy has a chance, well his does with KO, but unlikely at best. I only just worked out that the thread with a poll favoring Lacy over Hopkins was bumped, lol. You'd hope, at least I think many thought, that the majority of ppl accept and realise now he's noway near as good as Hops, Calz, and naturally of course Taylor. Yet here a fight between the two is on the cards, and ppl still give Lacy as good shot. As soon as my cramp from laughing, and brain freeze with shock is over, this ****s getting a poll. It's like ground hog day lol.

Thats nothing to be ashamed about as he is pound for pound one of the best punchers of today. He not only punches hard, but he wears you down by the accuracy, percision and the accumulitive effect is what got the job done. Similar to a young Joe Louis. Not a one punch ****er, but a pin point accurate power puncher with underrated boxing ability.

Pavlik also stopped Miranda, are we questioning his chin as well? He was stopped in the exact same round as Taylor was and took as punches as he did.
Good post. Taylor has an excellent chin, he's only been down once in his career, after an accumulation of four or five hard Pavlik punches. It was that last uppercut that did it.

Pavlik has excellent power - remember he was the first to knock down Zertuche, who may not be a top fighter but was believed to have an iron chin.

He's a lot better than that though and I know it.

He's coming off a torn rotator cuff, give him a break.
