Jermain Taylor vs. Jeff Lacy Being Discussed For 168

If there are any knockouts it wont be from Taylor. He's a "nice guy".. remember against Cory Spinks he fought him like Cory was his girlfriend.

I don't know about his girlfriend, but the way Cory was running away you would have thought Jermain was trying to date **** him.

Taylor's chin is ok, but he has been stopped, admittedly more through gassing out than anything; Taylor has many great talents, stamina is not one of them, I'd favour him to win, but he could punch himself out - one thing no one on this forum can dispute is that Jeff Lacy has a massive heart.

and a pretty damn good chin, too. not to mention he can punch...when he actually lands.

Just because of these reasons, Lacy has a decent chance to win. If Taylor fights the way he did against Pavlik in his last outing, I think he would win fairly widely though.

I like this matchup a lot. Hopefully it will stir things up at Super Middleweight...not a lot of big fights seem to be happenning there, for the most part the top guys dont seem to be fightin each other.

Lacy is 30 years old. He kind of just needs to win a big fight. He doesn't really have one crowning victory. If he can't beat Taylor I could see him becoming a high profile opponent for someone like Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell or even Carl Froch.

LOL, what the hell was that? First it was high hopes and delusion that blurred ppl's visions into thinking Lacy was a top level contender. It's been proven without any reasonable doubt he's not. Now you and some resort to a sympathy vote, almost preying he will somehow win a big fight, and it'll make him. It's like a overly proud, deluded mother sending her child into a beauty contest saying, she just needs a chance and a boost. LOL, dude, Lacy is not on Hopkins, Calzaghes, thus obviously Taylors level, what is it that some ppl cannot see or accept that, seriously it's weird.

And by the way, Froch would knock the **** out of him lol. He is regarded by some as 2nd to only Calzaghe in the SMW division, can I remind you Jeff's performance barely deserved 10th in the division. He's improved a little to get to what 6th, but still, the gap between him and the top three, Calz, Froch, Kessler, is huge. Same goes for over divisions, he is not a top 5 contendor in any of them, and at best has a chance, slim chance. Akin to Tye Fields KO chances against say Wlad.

Guys, this ****'s got to stop seriously, Taylor should on past form, **** Lacy all day, if he doesn't, how can anyone say Taylor beats Calzaghes or any top 3 SMW? It's madness. I get a feeling Taylor won't play his usual fight of perform as well anymore, but seriously people, the hyping Lacy **** shoulda stopped years ago.

Now, what you're saying about Lacy may well be true, but claiming Froch to be top 3 in the division as a matter of fact is rather spoiling your argument.
