Cotto-Gomez was made because a certain ***** failed to show up. Cotto-Mayweather was supposed to happen after Floyd beat Hatton and Cotto beat Mosley. They both won, but Floyd quickly said he wasn't going to fight that he was semi retired and bitched out on the fight. What's Cotto supposed to do wait for him, instead of pretend fighting like a *****, he chose to stay busy and fight.

mayweather was on the radio yesterday.he said he is going to knock out hatton by the 5 round. he said that he is going to be the one pressing the fight, right from the bell and hatton isn't going to be ready for it. also he said that shane will knock out cotto, and if some how cotto wins he won't fight him because there is no money in it, which is a lie.he will fight shane if shane wins, which would be an awesome fight,but if shane doesn't win he wants to fight the winner of paul williams and cintron because he said he's not going to retire now until he unfies the welterweight division, "4 more fights is all i need to be unfied champ, maybe even 3, and once i'll do that then i will retire, 8 or 9 belts in 5 weight classes, talk about crazy".

of course all hardcore fans want to see floyd/cotto, but it ain't happening until cotto breaks into the bigger market of casual boxing fans.

What Cotto needs to do is start demolishing every welterweight out there to get the attention he wants. Cotto needed to destroy Mosley, but he ran in the last couple of rounds and got the decision... I think ultimately that hurt Cotto's box office appeal (not his appeal with Puerto Ricans though).

Cotto needs to destroy Margarito, and if he can't get a fight with Floyd he needs to destroy Williams, Clottey, and any other contenders at 147 and if he still can't get floyd he needs to start destroying 154 lbers.

That said, I don't think Cotto will destroy Margarito, but clearly outbox and outpoint Margarito. I'd be surprised if Cotto went toe to toe with Margarito, and if he did that's probably 2-4 years off Cotto's shelf life.

But Cotto needs some Vasquez/Marquez type epic wars to elevate his name among casual fans.

If DLH would have been beaten by Cotto instead of Floyd, do you think floyd would be the bigger name than Cotto now? His PPV numbers before DLH weren't any better than Cotto's. The only reason Mayweather is big right now is because he got a SD in a boring fight agains DLH. Then he used Hattons fans to make himself look bigger. Without DLH where do you think Floyd would stand right now?

You have made several rediculous claims about Floyd, including one that you say Floyd stated that "all Cotto has to do is call him me out and the fight will be made" When i ask u to supply a source for this claim, u rant about how u dont do researches. You are correct, Floyd has said that he wants Cotto to build his fanbase and become more mainstream. Floyd has also said the following:

-Cotto's too green
-He doesnt bring anything to the table
-Im not impressed with him

-Cotto needs to become a CEO before i consider fighting him
-Cotto needs to establish his own fanbase (whatever the hell that means)
