Joe is no doubt a top 25 fighter of the last 3 decades! he sucessfully defended his world title more than any boxer in history! that alone is enough to place Joe amongst boxings elite! I just wish he would stick around and fight for 2 or 3 more years!
Is Calzaghe a Top 25 Fighter in the last 30 Years?

I'm not sure who is the bigger moron of you two. I'd really like to lock the two of you in a room together for the rest of your lives, where you could argue over who the best welterweight of all time was, Mike Tyson or Willie Pep.
Seriously guys, find a new sport, because anyone saying things like "Calzaghe is the best ever, Morales is a nobody, Chavez was a tomato can" or "Calzaghe is a nobody, not in the p4p top 90000, Tyson[born in '66] was 43 when he quit" has really got things screwed up when it comes to boxing.Comment

Ok then, which great, in their prime fighters did the following beat:
Tszyu
JMM
Mike Tyson
Larry Holmes
Spinks
George Foreman(last 30 years, remember)
Toney (maybe Nunn, but I'm not sure many would call Nunn an ATG)
Manny Pacquiao (no, Barrera and Morales were not in their prime)
Lennox Lewis
I'm not arguing that Calzaghe is better than the above, but I am asking that you tell me which great, in their prime fighters they beat. The fact is that there aren't that many great fighters out there, and so there are quite a few top boxers who have never beat a great, prime fighter. Holyfield is a great, but his best win was against either Tyson, who was past his best, or Bowe, who is not an ATG.Comment

The thing a lot of people don't get is, just because you don't like a fighter maybe just because he is from Britain, doesn't make him any less of a fighter. He's the first person to be ring champion at two weights at the same time, and unified his division against a very good fighter in his prime.
If he isn't in the top 25 then you obviously just have a bias against himComment

you obviously havent seen to many of tszyus fights, the guy dominated the division, he lost to phillips as a result of poor preperation which lead to weight drain which lead to burnout, he lost to hatton because he was plain old, and those low blows by hatton and the fact the referree basically let hatton hug and hit and use his forearms and elbows all night didnt help tszyus causeComment
