Here is a nice highlight of Thomas Hearns anyway...

Hearns soundly handling the masterful counter puncher and defensive artist Wilfred Benitez.

    Duran vs Hearns
I think Benitez had better defense than Mayweather.

Hearns is Tall with Class A boxing skill and a Class A punching power. His weakness (Suspect chin) wont be in the equation either coz floyd is not a big puncher at welter.

They talk about Floyd Mayweather defeating Genaro Hernandez when he was only 21 years old, Wilfredo Benitez defeated a prime, long-reigning champion and a hall of famer Antonio Cervantes at age 17!

It looks like man against boy, except the boy is schooling the man...

You can talk about Floyd defeating 'tall' fighters such as Corrales (a great warrior) and N'Dou all you want but the fact is that those two fighters were atleast 20 lbs lighter than Thomas Hearns and not on his level even in a p4p sense.
Its also the fact that N'dou and Corrales didn't use their size and reach to their advantage the way Hearns would. Corrales is a strong ****er that looks to get on the inside and beak you down. N'dou was never a major force in the division and commited to slugging when he couldn't get anything going offensively. Oscar is the only fighter to use his natural size and tools to box Mayweather from the outside (which shocked me) and we seen the result. Mayweather nearly lost the fight because he was being out boxed and overwelmed by a naturally bigger fighter that brought educated pressure and stuck to his jab. Hearns could do this and a lot more, as he was faster than Oscar, brought better pressure, a better out boxer, naturally bigger/taller, longer reach and the far bigger puncher. Plus, he wouldn't fade at todays standards because there is only 12 rounds.

I'm a huge Mayweather fan as many here know and even I have to admit Hearns wins this one. I just don't think Hearns will win by K.O or T.K.O don't ignore how great Mayweather' defense is. But yeah I just don't see Mayweather winning this one. and Mayweather ain't even a natural WW

correct. even pbf's relatively wordy post can be reduced to, "mayweather wins because he's better than everyone at everything".

hearns wins in just about any scenario i can imagine here. floyd could not and most likely WOULD NOT have the stones to come forward the way ray leonard did, and he'd be battered in a fight on the outside.

Tommy Hearns may be "too tall" for mayweather and "hit too hard", but Mayweather is 10x smarter than Hearns and Hearn's chin is questionable. Mayweather is a much better fight and I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather took a win. But you have to remember, Hearns' career started at 147 and went up to Cruiserweight. Mayweather started at 130 and finished at 147. (154 doesn't really count IMO)

I think Sugar Ray Leonard would beat Mayweather.
