I'm pretty sure I seen this thread somewhere but the goddam search function isn't turning any results up when I try it, anyway who takes this match-up prime-for-prime? Was watching the HBO Legendary nights episode of Hearns-SRL the other day and watched Hearns-Benitez as well. Assuming this match were to take place at welter, 147, who wins?
I think Tommy just moves so extremely well, caught opponents on the end of his long arms, I can't see Floyd outboxing him being so much smaller in comparison. He'd have to first get in Tommys range then catch him, but in doing that he'd leave himself open to that blockbuster right hand. It depends really. If Tommy believes he can steamroller Floyd he'd go after him, a la Duran, and Floyd would be able to pick him off with counters. But I just dont see Floyd beating Tommy, I like both of them a lot but Tommys dimensions are freakish and I think a couple of big right hands and Floyd would go into a bit of a shell, let himself get outworked like in that first Castillo fight in a scrappy contest.
