Cant agree on the smarts mate , Tommy even with every advantage could not out smart a plodder like Barkley , Tommy was a power fighter not a tactition of any kind , I loved Hearns but he was not a smart fighter at all , if he was he would have beaten Hagler , he lost to him the only way he could lose, in a firefight , Tommy was not smart or a good thinker , same thing to me .

Hearns fought very smart against Wilfred Benitez and Virgil Hill.
He was a fighter but he could also box and Hearns showed this when he, a past prime former welterweight, fought against a bigger champion at LHW and outboxed him.

I wouldn't say Hearns was smarter than Mayweather but he wasn't 10x dumber either, Hearns made some mistakes during his career but he had brilliant performances as well.

floyd would be too much for tommy hearns, and he would beat him by ud. his defense is too good and better than sugar ray leonard's was and duran's was. floyd is too crafty for tommy and wouldn't waste punches like leonard did, he is more accurate by far. he chooses his shots well and positions his body where he can offset tommy to the core. it's funny you guys say tommy would knock floyd out as if floyd as even been in trouble like that to where he looked as if he was going to be knocked out. tommy hearns ain't knocking out ****, that's for damn sure, floyd would beat tommy hearns, who is bigger than him, has a longer reach, and uses hisjab effectively was floyd moves better and throws sharper punches.

Hearns.

Mayweather is a special fighter and all, but there's a good number of welterweights throughout the years I pick over him, and perhaps none with more confidence than Tommy.
