Pavlik is the only good opponent for Calzaghe

I have not seen nearly enough of Ali fighting to make a call one way or another.
If he never varied from a style on the outside, then yes, he probably was one-dimensional.
Get out of the frame of mind that one-dimensional means bad. I don't think it does. Whenever I use the phrase one-dimensional, it is not necessarily me saying that that fighter is bad and will never amount to anything. I just think they would have massive problems adapting if their plan A got neutralized.Comment
He boxed from the outside, like he is prone to do.
Taylor didn't take the jab away from him for the most part.
I have failed to mention his high workrate, which really is the reason that he was able to beat Taylor. He just outhustled him for the most part. He always has had that workrate though, so I don't think that is something that proves that he isn't one-dimensional.
Seriously, if you want to prove me wrong, tell me, what is Pavlik going to do if Calzaghe takes his jab away?Comment
Pavlik didn't really fight any different from the first fight though. He just couldn't knock Taylor out this time. He still used his jab non stop and threw right after right though. That's just how he fights, and it is not a bad thing. He is a straight ahead fighter but very good at it. There is nothing wrong with it, unless he fought Calzaghe who can beat that exact style quite easily.Comment

he'll watch the popkins fight and start working that lead right hand, i've seen pavlik use it, he doesn't it throw it often but when he does, it lands!
plus pavlik got a great body attack as well, a lead right hand can set up a brutal body attackComment
Pavlik cannot hook or uppercut...I gues this video must be in our imaginations only!LOL

It would be a good strategy, especially since Calzaghe has a workrate that is infinately better than Hopkins's workrate... but it is going to be DAMN hard to get a better lead right than Hopkins.
Seriously, his counter lead right is ATG ****.
Aren't you are a huge Calzaghe fan consequently? I thought you were.
Seriously, even if all of this is true, Pavlik is just going to be way too small to put a dent in Calzaghe. Calzaghe is a big guy at 168, and Pavlik fights at 160. Oh yeah, and Calzaghe has a great chin.Comment

A video of KOs doesn't really refute my argument that he doesn't take those punches out of his holster until he has his opponent hurt. The reason being is that those punches in his arsenal aren't very short and compact, so the only time he can really safely use them effectively (meaning he loads up on them) is when his opponent is hurt or intimidated... so he doesn't have to worry about heavy fire coming back.Pavlik cannot hook or uppercut...I gues this video must be in our imaginations only!LOL

Listen, that Hernandez kid in the first part of the video literally did not land a punch in that fight. Anyone can look good with any punch against sub-standard competition.Comment
