Anyways, yes a win over either Pavlik or Dawson would be bigger for Joe than a win over a 39 yr old Roy.

A win for Roy over Joe would be incredibly huge.

I'm not a Calzaghe fan. Well, not anymore than any other boxer. I just prefer to get straight to the truth.

Look, Joe Calzaghe is the Ring SMW and LHW champ, he's never been beat and he has beaten the best fighters currently in those divisions.

He's not perfect, but the reality is that there is no-one on paper who can be a credible favourite against him. Jones MIGHT beat him, so MIGHT Dawson, but based on recent results and performances there is no basis for EXPECTING them to do so, other than if you are a fan and supporter of one of them, and there is nothing wrong with that.

If you prefer Dawson to Calzaghe thats fine, cool, but please don't just throw insults and trash Calzaghe. Even if you don't like him, he has still achieved much as a boxer, and it is pointless to try and say that he hasn't.

For sure. I still see RJJ winning though.

Oh man. I forgot to tell you. Only give that phone tracer to people you know and trust on here. We don't want the site getting hit with 100's of users and slowing it down.

If someone PM's you and you know them. Go ahead and give it to them. If you don't know or trust them, don't.

Here here. Like I said, I'm not a Calzaghe fan but there's a few people on here that are just plane deluded, or living in the 90's if they think there's contenders out there that will beat Calzaghe.

Its a tough call, and a tough fight for Roy... I dont believe either fighter will be blowing the other out of the water. I think it all comes down to one punch really.... Roys right hand. IMHO Roys right hand is still the fastest and most accurate in the game with Floyd a close 2nd. I think its faster, more accurate, and more powerful than Bernards; Roy also is capable of throwing many more of them than Bernard. And also, he is capable of throwing them with the same pop for all 12 rounds.

If Joe can somehow figure out a way to negate that right hand from Roy, then its gonna be tough for Roy to pull out a win. Since Roy no longer really relies on his reflexes for defense, but rather uses his still intact hand eye coordination to block incoming punches, that will help him much more to take impact and then counter over the top.

Its obviously quite known, Roy isnt as good with south paws. But I think Roy is chasing this fight for a reason. And, maybe the most important one is, he is pretty sure Joe cannot hurt him; Not like an Anontio Tarver anyway.

I think the fight will play out similar to Bernard vs. Joe, Joe being the busier fighter, and Roy landing the cleaner more visible punches. The question is, can Roy land more cleaner punches than Bernard did, to edge out a win... I personally think he can do what Bernard did, even better.

But, its a tough fight to call, as were dealing with a much more normal fighter in Roy these days. Ill just say Roy IS in fact capable of pulling out the win, but he is not the favorite in this fight by any means.

i think he should fight Roy Jones Jr then Kelly Pavlik then Antonio Tarver then two more bums and retire as 50-0
