i dont see the point of this thread Calzaghe has already impressed American fight fans & Media there are plenty of American fight fans on NSB that rate Calzaghe highly

Calzaghe gets disrepescted occassionally because of obssesive fans like Ricky & Tunney constant nuthuggery is annoying no matter who the fighter is

most of the american media and a large portion of american fight fans thought calzaghe lost maybe thats why? remember when eubank fought watson the first time and got that ridiculous decision and everyone hated eubank. well there ya go.

I'd actually pick Chris Byrd to beat Calzaghe at light heavy. Can't think of anyone at super middle, though. I think Calzaghe would take a decision over Jones, too. RJJ will be gassed by 6 or 7 because of Joe's pressure and won't be able to keep up. Won't be an embarassing loss for Jones, but a clear win for Joe, nonetheless. Except of course for those who are blinded by idol worship.

                Americans are not ******.

They know that a man who has been a World Champion for well over a decade and who is recogised as the best fighter on the planet in TWO weight divisions at the same time IS the real deal.

                A ludicrous question really.

Its when the word GREAT comes into play, then people feel the need to question him, Its a huge honour to be called a GREAT fighter.

I still cant make my mind up about him.

No we seriously dont think hes that good..beating Kessler, Lacy and a 43 year old Hopkins by the skin of your teeth doesnt really help his case.

well most American fans ive spoke to seem to think Calzaghe won the fight on sheer activity

as for Watson v Eubank that fight was a close fight & Eubank won the 1st 5 rounds easily the outrage was blown out of proportion because by the media cause [A ] they already disliked Eubank before the 1st Watson fight even took place they did'nt like his showboating/strutting etc ,Michael Watson was a fighter who had just fought his heart out and lost to Mike McCallum ,on top of that he came across everything Eubank was'nt a unassuming nice guy not arrgant in the slightest

The Media overeacted cause Eubank was disliked pre Watson anyway
