He won't get much credit from the hardcore fans but I think he'll get credit from the casual fans.

And yet plenty of people on this forum say RJJ will beat him, even now. I don't think he will, but I'd say its a pretty dangerous fight. What do you think?

Antonio Tarver would be a good win.

It depends on how much Jones has left. But you know how the people here will react if Calzaghe beats Jones. "He was old", "He's shot", "Calzaghe beat another grandpa".

            Exactly my friend, exactly.
He'll only get credit for Pavlik or Tarver, maybe Dawson.

He's not as overrated as Slappy Joe..that's for damn sure..

Dawson could EASILLY hold a WBO title for 10 years...but his manhood wouldn't let him take suck a ***** route..

Say what you will about Chad..

HE THROWS MURDEROUS BOMBS(not feminine Karate chops) to the head and body..and he's a fast southpaw..

It would be, indeed already is, exactly the same story as we saw for the Hopkins fight. Joe will be about to be exposed by a living legend who will then become wizened and ancient the second the judges turn in the score cards.

Someone else posted that if Jones is such a legend and cut above all other fighters then he shouldn't have any problem overcoming a difference of three years to beat a nearly as old Calzaghe. Thats not how its going to be seen though.

I don't think there's any one person he has to beat to impress Americans... He's got to beat them all: Tarver, Johnson, Dawson, and even Chris Byrd. Also it'd be nice if he could beat Hopkins convincingly and beyond any reasonable doubt in a rematch.

Dawsons is supposedly a future pound for pounder and the future of the light heavy's (i read it on here, i never said it)

If Joe deals with Pav and Roy thats good enough! but to beat down "the future" of the division and then retire!? that would be sweeet ****!

Its pretty much set in stone tho that Pav wants nowt to do with Joe or Arum wouldnt have set the rest of the year out for him at Middle.
