so i guess the general boxing public are these "haters" because its ****in everyone except floyd fans that wants this fight to happen.

2501 are you ****ing ******ed how can you speak for the entire boxing public. I know you want to see the fight but get real you and your band of 20 ******s on a boxing message baord do not represent the "boxing public"

there is no demand for a floyd vs cotto fight because no one in the general boxing public knows who he is. hence the lowest rated WCB telecast in history.

The answer to that question is, He brings Hype...!!
Well that was a nice little rant, but you didn't answer the question. The question was why are you concerned about it. It was actually directed at Vlad303 but feel free to answer.

Has mayweather fought or beat anyone that is better than cotto? I think with every passing fight cotto is proving he hasn't.
pick any fighter on floyd's resume who actually beat a champ for their title and you will find a fighter better then cotto

Oh yea, Ricky thinks it was the weight that lead to his defeat but in reality he just isn't skilled enough to beat Floyd. No shame in that, most fighters aren't. Ricky will move up to 147 once it starts impacting his health draining himself every training camp trying to come down from 180lbs. At this point, 147 is a more natural weight for him.

Was Hatton a top 10 welterweight when Floyd fought him? Are you still saying that it does count as a win at 140 even if neither fighter was nowhere close to that weight? Was Oscar a welterweight when Mayweather fought him? When is the welterweight champion going to fight actual welterweight contenders? Are these unreasonable questions?

You are the one contradicting yourself by saying the Hatton win was meaningful yet calling him "the getting hitman". So if Mayweather gives Hatton a rematch in the UK next year, no doubt you'll eat it up like a hungry puppy dog being fed his supper.

not a floyd or cotto hater i just dislike overprotected fighters like those 2
actually im gaining a lot of respect for cotto after his victory over mosley and possible fight against margarito
floyd should step it up or he will soon drop to the number 2 spot at welterweight

Everyone in the general boxing public knows who cotto is, do you mean the general public, it shouldn't matter who mayweather is fighting he should be a draw no matter what or don't claim to be such a big draw. If Oscar had that attitude he would have never fought mayweather...im sick of having this same conversation its ridiculous. Almost every boxing fan around the world would love see this fight, floyd would attract the casual fan so whats the fuss

I think Mayweather would beat Cotto in a pretty good match.
Does that make me a "Floyd *****?"
Man, I would really love it if I was called a Floyd ***** in real life, and not on the interwebz.
I'm not a billy badass by any means.
