All that means is that Ricky had less weight to lost which means he drained himself less then he would for a 140lb fight.
He still defeated the best jr.welter although some of you simpletons will discredit it as it technically was a welterweight fight. Not his fault Ricky ducked him at 140.

Most fans are like me. We want to see him fight the best at welter.
What's the hold up? Floyd is a star. He can make plenty no matter who he fights.
i think he will win.
Why does he have to fight DLH again?

Has mayweather fought or beat anyone that is better than cotto? I think with every passing fight cotto is proving he hasn't. Mayweather is wtihout a shadow of a doubt that best at this moment, but I think he has yet to face the best other welterweight of his era. Will floyd win? probably in my opinion but he still must prove it, and for the record I think it will do a hell of a lot for floyd's legacy.
Another undefeated prime fighter who is putting together a hell of a resume, who many people believe will give floyd a very competitive fight, maybe a rival for the ages, which is something a prime roy jones lacked, ali had them, and sugar ray had them, thats why they are held in higher esteem than jones.
I think the styles of these two will create a great flowing fight as long as floyd doesn't fight too defensively.

Hatton is a very good fighter, the the fact is that all but one of his wins are at 140 lbs. If it was a better weight for Hatton, why is he returning to 140? Whether Ricky ducked him at 140 or not is totally irrelevant. Boxing fans want to see Mayweather fight a real welterweight who is near his peak. TBD just doesn't cut it.
Oh yea, Ricky thinks it was the weight that lead to his defeat but in reality he just isn't skilled enough to beat Floyd. No shame in that, most fighters aren't. Ricky will move up to 147 once it starts impacting his health draining himself every training camp trying to come down from 180lbs. At this point, 147 is a more natural weight for him.

Your answer might be YES now since you believe in Cotto but once the dream ends....what then? Cotto overrated or Cotto was weakened from the Margarito fight? Cotto was in pain because he plucked his eyebrows the wrong way?
You guys sound like a kid who doesn't want to take out the trash because he knows that there will be more to take out later.
