how is better, his record proves it and his 2 wins over De La Hoya proves it. A De La Hoya who had a 2 year lay off since Horus wanted to point out Judah's 2 year lay off (which is also forgot to mention that Judah was comin off of a loss when Mayweather fought him)

and that is basically his appeal...

        1. Personality only matters if you're like Floyd and care for out of the ring ventures like Dancing with the Stars or being in the WWE where all the real boxers fight.

        2. Completely irrelevant - you my friend shouldn't be one to mention lack of English skills though when you just began a reply by saying "Cotto is just doesn't".

        3. His style isn't TV friendly? Allow me to quote someone who I can't really name right now but -

"The business is entertainment - and what entertains the customer - is the sight of blood" - Unknown

Cotto is always referenced to as a brawler, bully, "will **** you up forever", and his power is analagous to sitting in a gas chamber or being hit in the ribs with a bat every fifteen seconds. What isn't TV friendly is the "best fighter in the world to ever put on a pair of gloves and step in a ring" back pedaling for 12 rounds during what was supposed to be boxings saving grace of a fight.

        4. Drama is for children and bitches. Floyd wearing a Manchester United jersey and giving a crowd of thousands the finger - that's a way to win fans!

        5. Living off of Floyds name? LMAO. You're a clown 110%. He lives off of destroying Malignaggi, beating Zab Judah the **** up and conquering Mosley in a well fought battle.

The difference between you and I is that I can give credit where credits due.

You are a natural born hater - that can't speak English.

Also floyd was a ****en nobody before Gatti and after Gatti he got some fame, then the Delahoya fight gave him the crossover appeal, along with his side work.

Floyd in the beggining was not selling out tickets like Cotto. ****, can he still sell tickets fighting a lesser fighter? Most likely not which is why he wants his next opponet to have superstar status. Hatton was the star of his last ppv.

Mayweather has the hype behind him, but not the loyal fan base that is willing to buy tickets to his fights.

Mayweather is the same fighter that has had people walk out of his fight against Baldomier.

Botton line Mayweather dont' care about boxing or his fans, he carees about money. Even though has tons of it. Instead of facing the best he keeps on facing fighters that bring him more money, while other top fighters are being asked, "when are you going to fight Mayweather."

and that's what Oscar is and was trying to do, but he has hardly ever done..

What then was Floyds first risky fight?

I jusge greatness by who you fight and beat. Oscar could have milked it and went soft in his fights, He did'nt. He took on all from 130 -160, ducking no one. The only fights in which he really lost were Mosley1,Sturm and Hopkins. Some of his fights were close and controversial, how can they not be close, look at the guys he was fighting.

No where in floyds resume do i see any guys on the level of Chavez,M.A. Gonzalez, Camacho,Mosley,Trinidad,Quartey,Vargas,Hopkins and Whitaker.
The only guy was Corrales and possibly Hatton.

Yeah, Mayweather beat Genaro Hernadez, good win. Guess what, Oscar beat him 3 yrs earlier and fasrter than Floyd.

I mean Cotto may be an unknown, but Tarver, Woods, Johnson, and Dawson are absolutely nobody in the world of mainstream.

Unless nobody watched the Showtime card, how could it have NOT hurt the HBO ratings? Lets be realistic, ok?

I could have sworn it was the same Tarver who had PPV's against Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr.
