Calzaghe for me, Lewis 2nd. The question is British, let's not turn it into an un-united kingdom argument. Wales is smaller than England (not 20x) and has some supreme boxers, but there is more up there English to make the ratio even. Benn, Eubank, Lewis, Hamed, Bruno, Woods to name a few.
The greatest British fighter P4P ever, Calzaghe or Lewis?

It has to be LEWIS
Better opposition, better division
Lewis has defeated more hall of famers and the heavyweight division is one of the marquee divisions in boxing.
look at how many former lineal champions he's beaten
He did have a questionable chin so that affects his legacy as one of the best of all time, but britain i think soComment

Lennox Lewis all day, Lewis got KO'd because he took McCall and Rahman lightly. When focused he beats anyone. He also took Briggs lightly and almost got beat, but he didn't. That was his greates flaw he underestimated his opponents at times. Point is he came back focused and beat them decisevly. Do we rate Joe Louis any lower becuase he got KO'd by Max Schmelling? When focused Lewis beats any HW of his era, and he proved it.Comment

London-born Joe Calzaghe, who has been a World Champion for well over a decade and has beaten the likes of Kessler, Eubank, Lacy, Reid and Hopkins.Comment

P4P - Calzaghe.
Lewis was a BIG Guy - 6'5 and a lot of his wins came from Lewis using his size, just like the Klitshcko Brothers..
Calzaghe has been fighting big guys himslef and schooling them!Comment
