Only racists would even consider Joe to be greater than Lewis.

        Jesus Christ...

Calzaghe? At least Lennox Lewis KOed someone worthwhile occasionally.

I guess if this were Olympic Amateur Boxing Calzaghe would be the greatest pound for pound boxer of all time. Move over Sugar Ray Robinson, you never put your head down and flung 100 "punches" a round in a flailing manner. And you never faced the great opposition the super middleweight division had to offer for years.

          LOL, what?

What worries me is that you actually think it's true.

Replace the word "racists" with "idiots".

            There, that's better.

Give me a minute to add the poll.
Lennox Lewis by decently comfortable margin.

He was the last of the real heavyweights and his resume speaks for itself.

However i will say this; you cant count calzaghe out yet.

I think he still has some fight left in him.

he showed in the hopkins fight he can hang with the illegal tactics of hopkins; the clinching; headbutts; etc. and still pull it off.

I think calzaghe can fight a good 3 more times easily before retirement (very easily considering he looked in good shape with great stamina for his age).

IF he fights the right guys and comes out the winner then i could see him bumping past lewis...

However; roy jones jr isnt the way to do it in my opinion. if we were talking PRIME roy jones jr then by all means...but at this point all it will do is put another "name" on his resume but i dont think you can be considered the best all time of a country by just beating "names" you have to beat the best...

I think he can and should fight the likes of Kelly Pavlik (appeared to be new middleweight champ); etc.

he should either unify or take on the top dogs in a division below or above his (at a catch weight of course) to further showcase his dominance.

Lennox Lewis is probably the greatest English Heavyweight of all time, but I think Joe just edges him overall.

Obviously London-born boxer Joe Calzaghe is not the greatest boxer of all time, but he has never been beaten in his career and he has been a World Champion for well over a decade, so that makes him the greatest British boxer of all time in my view.

To beat the likes of Lacy, Kessler, Eubank, Hopkins, Mitchell, Reid etc. is very good but to be recognised as the greatest fighter on the planet in TWO weight divisions at the same time is just amazing.

You may have a point about White racists on this website sir, but I must admit that I have only ever seen Black racists on this website, talking about how all White people are "devils" or "mutants" or some ****.

                      Two very good shouts.
