You could make an argument for Judah being maybe top 15 in the world at the moment he lost to Baldomir but ehh, I wouldn't say elite. Elite is reserved for the best, just as the saying goes, to be the best you have to beat the best. Not, well you haven't gotten a fight with the best but you looked good on BAD last month.

One thing Baldomir has been is the top dog in the division. That has escaped Margarito.

Then how can Clottey be elite when he isn't among the top guys? He hasn't even won an alphabet strap yet.

You said right here Asian. So Cintron is elite by your definition of elite.

Yeah and Baldo's got 30 losses and 0 knockouts. Are u saying BAldo is better than Margarito? Wow, now I see how you really like to hate.

I was emphasizing that he hadn't even reached that level, how could he skip past winning a belt and then go to that next level, which is elite.

I'm not sure how that implies that I said winning a title belt is the essential prerequisite to being an elite fighter. I can assure you that you misunderstood.

I simply stated that Baldomir had achieved a higher distinction than did Margarito at 147. If you felt more was implied, I can offer assurance that nothing more was.

No it's black on white. If you're supposed to be elite you need to have at least a belt cause there's only so many belts out there. I guess Pacman wasn't elite when he fought Marquez at 130?

You'll do yourslef a favour if you never use th word elite in boxing cause it's the most ambiguous, weasel out word ever, alongside with overrated.

Not really, Baldo had the opportunity to fight both Judah and Mayweather. Baldo was at the right time at the right place. I've always wanted to see Tony vs Baldomir because I am sure BAldomir will be done before the 12th. I don;t think Cotto will hurt Baldomir much but it's styles right.

                    Como?

I'm sorry if you don't like the word "elite" but it was you who had actually brought it up. I just ran with it.

What I said, and anyone else reading this feel free to jump in and help me clarify this, by saying a guy didn't even have a belt so how could he be elite is like me telling someone how could you be a millionaire if you don't have a thousand bucks.

By that same token, how was Hatton elite at 147 when he didn't even have a strap? You understand in what trouble that little word "elite: got you in.
It's like he might be worth a 100 bucks at 140 but he's worth only 10 at 147. Just like the 1k 1mil example you just gave, I just reversed it on you a little for fun sake.
