LOL @ ALL THE IDIOTS ON HERE!!! First of all, don't speak on a subject if you don't know what you're talking about, mma is HUGE in Asia and Europe. It's way bigger then boxing in Asia. Anyone can do mma?? That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. There is way more science behind mma than boxing. I love both, but to say that is a total joke. If Anderson Silva faced RJJ in a striking match, knees, kicks, and punches, RJJ would get put in an ambulance within 2 minutes. Only uneducated idiots say it's a bar fight or that they hump each other on the ground. Anybody who knows other martial arts, such as muay thai kickboxing, wrestling, judo, brazilian jiu jitsu, sambo, etc. would all laugh in your face. The UFC isn't the only company making money, last time I checked Elite XC will be on CBS live in primetime on a Saturday night, when's the last time boxing was??? Idiots.

I agree with that. Some people might not like MMA and its not for them but you shouldn't be ignorant about it when you don't even watch it. It takes a lot of skill to get into a ring with many different types of techniques. You can't get into thinking its easy which is the same for boxing

You can have Anderson Silva caliber striking, but if you can't wrestle or defend yourself on the ground, you will have a short career. It's a total different beast then boxing and a way more complete fight. Which is why mma fighters would brutalize boxers in a real fight with a few rules or without rules

Dumbass.. Boxing is a lot bigger in the world especially in Europe and in Asia.

MMA is not taken seriously in Asia and if you think MMA is still hot in Japan then you are a bigger idiot. The Kameda boxing brothers, especially Koki Kameda gains 50%+ TV ratings each time he fights while the MMA and k-1 scene in japan is not so hot right now and it got worse with the death of PrideFC.

I also bet you don't know that EliteXC lost a huge amount of money last year..

Get your facts straight you idiot..

mma is way more of a wrestling than fists fighting than a boxer does... i like mma(only watch the exciting ones) but if i got to choose to watch between a best boxing match and a best mma match, heck Id rather taped mma and watch boxing at same time
