And who did Tito ever really beat?
    At MW
    ?
he Ko'd Joppy in like 3-4 rounds, Hops couldnt even do that,,Joppy HAD never been stopped prior and has only been stopped once SINCE and that was RECENTLY at 168..Joppy had only one loss prior TO FIGHTING TITO and HE AVENGED THAT loss BY ko or tko..

Joppy was the WBA middle weight title ist.
IT WAS A LEGIT WIN and legitimzed Tito as a middle weight. go away

Listen, I'm not going to get into a big argument about this, but these half a dvision weight differences are so over-analyzed and given way too much importance on this site. Tito at 160 is not really different than Tito at 154.

And still no answer to WHO did Tito really beat that was any good?
          At middleweight of course??
And just because Tito was the betting favourite not all of us go with the crowd.
So don't tar me with that revisionist bull**** brush thanks.
The same way as I said lacy would be whooped easily while 99% of people picked Lacy to destroy Calzaghe.
Sometimes you need to step back and turn the commentary off and make your own mind up.
if you put that question directly. i say only joppy but keep in mind trinidad only fought 3 times at middleweight before retiring for the 1st time. he ko'd joppy who was the wba champion and not a bad fighter. loss to hopkins. koed charifi then retired.

i don't discount calzaghe's skills. i don't discount the lacy fight either. i was shocked when he dominated lacy so easily but don't discount bernard's win over tito either. that's all i'm trying to say. tito knocked out 2 154-lb. champions and 1 160-lb. champion before his fight with bernard.

He was mediocre at best just like the rest of the Middleweight pool at the time that is why it was possible for little men to invade that territory.
Or are you telling me that it was talent rich at the time?
Were you even watching Boxing back then or is it just this past 5 months?
Hopkins had an easy pool to play with for a long time once Roy moved up.
That is another factor with Hopkins , he spouts all this horse**** but he has never ever avenged his losses.
He stayed at a weight class where it was safe instead of chasing the bigger challenges at 168 & 175.
He finally moved up when the easy shot at Tarver was there for the taking.
And now he knows if he loses to Calzaghe he will have the automatic Father time excuse.

Joe wishes he could fight someone as popular as ODH.

And yeah, I'm sure Joe's fight against Peter Manfredo Jr. was much, much more of a challenge.

I'm sorry, but this thread is complete BS. All fighters fight guys who move up in weight Why don't you go through all of Joe Calzaghe's opponents and see how many guys he fought who started at a lower weight class...:*******:
