I can't believe people on here take away from Bernard's victory over Tito. Unreal.

And let's not talk about Jones, Jones walked through Tito's punchers, and that's the guy who was not willing to take a decent punch for a good while.
Have you actually seen the Mayorga-Tito fight? After Rd 1 Mayorga KNEW he was in trouble. And after once dropping his hands and inviting Trinidad to nail him he abandoned that tactic because he tasted serious leather. That fight was an utter destruction.

With regards to your 2nd comment, that was my whole point - you couldn't expect Tito to be a puncher at Light-HW, that's just ludicrous.

I'm not even gonna argue Wlad-Tyson. Anyone with half a brain, who has watched their respective careers will know that Wlad gets dusted off by prime Tyson inside four or five rounds. Eastern European fighters, especially ones with glass jaws, are like lambs to the slaughter vs Mike

          That is pure subjectivism.

ANd yes, we really have nothing to argue about, you bring nothing to the table but your alleged ability to know what's happening in other people's minds.

Ciao, you do not interest me.

You expected Trinidad to KO Mayorga with one punch? You know, to be a puncher, you don't have to bowl over every one with one punch. Mayorga's a durable dude. To stop him at all is indication of serious power. You know it's like saying Marciano wasn't a very big puncher because he didn't take Walcott out in the 1st when they fought first time, it took 13.

But Mayorga was a blown up welterweight just like tito, and yeah, I expect him to KO mayorga pretty easily, especially taking into account that Mayorga's defense is subpar and tito was deemed the hawk of his time.

I hate when a fighter is deemed 'blown up' just because they originally began at a lower class. Let me educate you. Tito was always a huge welterweight. To call welterweight his 'natural' weight might be doing him a disservice. Did he look small against Vargas? No. Surely he would though seeing as how Vargas was a 'natural' light-middleweight? Did he look small against Joppy? Nah.

It's like saying Roy Jones was a natural middleweight. Was he? Really? If that was the case he'd look small against the LHW's he fought for much of his career. The truth is fighters often pick a weight to fight at based on what weight they can make, based on how big they're gonna be over opponents. Fighters GROW into weights. Growth is natural. That's why so many guys move up. I mean if you take a recent example - Mayweather-Hatton - Mayweather actually looked bigger and stronger than Hatton, despite being, in your logic, a 'natural' super-featherweight. Natural super-feathers shouldn't be able to physically match natural light-welters, sorry.

The point is Hopkins is naturally bigger than Trinidad and that Tito's best performances were at welterweight. Furthermore, the point about Hopkins opponents is made in response to claims that he has a better resume than Calzaghe. The fact is Calzaghe would beat any of the big names that Hopkins has and probably with greater ease.

What did Tito do at Middleweight seriously?
A very lack lustre division which was why he went there.
