Shawn.. HaHA.. I know you're an enthusiastic Cotto fan but you might want to actually watch Cintron/Margarito II. If you think Cintron has/had no accuracy you need your head examined, pal.

Also, Margarito can't punch for ****? Oh boy..

      Check this out Addison...

Antonio Margarito has 5 notable losses...

      1) Victor Lozoya
      2) Larry Dixon
      3) Rodney Jones
      4) Daniel Santos
      5) Paul Williams

With the exception of Larry Dixon, what do all these fighter have in common???....THEY ARE ALL "SOUTHPAWS"!

      Margarito has trouble with leftys.

People forget that Miguel Cotto is a natural lefty (He writes with his left hand, swings a golf club lefty) but fights in the Orthodox stance. Ever wondered why that "Left-Hook-To-The-Body" is so lethal?? Even a Natural Southpaw in Zab Judah got confused with Cotto's switch hitting. Expect Cotto to switch it up against Marg and Cotto's stinging Jab will be a huge factor in beating Margarito. Every one tested Marg's chin...to no avail...but no one has test that rib cage. ENTER MIGUEL COTTO!

I am not a Cotto fan at all. I am rather indifferent to him. However, I recognize that he 4 or 5 cuts above Margarito. Also, if Cintron was accurate, he would have been hammering right hands in on Margarito. I only recall 2 or 3 meaningful right hands during the whole fight. He didn't turn his right hand over like Manny taught him, they were sloppy overhand rights. They did not have nearly as much power behind them as they could have had.

That is also irrelevant since I am not dis*****g Margarito's chin.

Either way you put it, Cotto will be the sturdier fighter in the ring. He will have the stronger legs, and will have the faster hands, better boxing ability, better defense, better footwork, more power. The only thing Margarito has on him is chin.

Margarito has basically two likely scenarios for success:

              1. Cotto's tries to trade 1 too many times and Margarito is able to catch him with one of those semi-looping rights that he throws, stuns Cotto and hammers him into submission with a picture perfect combination.

This is unlikely cause although Cotto does get caught with a lot of punches they're usually from guys with good to very good handspeed and to land that looping right on Cotto you have to time that guard when its down. I dont believe Margarito is capable of this nor possesses either of those traits. He is what he is: a volume puncher with heavy hands who is able to couteract his lack of handspeed, footspeed and boxing ability with 1000+ punches per fight.

              2. Cotto fights too fast of a pace, gasses enough for Margarito to get to the inside in the latter part of the fight and hurts him to the body for a stoppage

Might happen but a lot of people are playing "Devil's Advocate" building Margarito into a Mexican version of the Terminator who cannot be hurt upstairs or down and his pace never slows even if only for a round or two. Cotto will likely employ his own body attack which will take starch and steam out of Margarito's attack and pace. You will also see the textbook damage on Margarito plus his tendency too cut may come into play.

In every fight Cotto rises to the level of his opposition I expect no less from him against Margarito but thats not saying Margarito cant win, he can I just think its unlikely.

Im telling you. Tony is gonna feel some body shots.

Forcing Tony to drop his hand and open his face for shots. A stoppage by the doctor? Who knows. Remember accumalation. People acting as if Cotto can't box to a decsion. Im pretty sure Tony is going to eat left hooks alot. His defense is suspect.

As for Cotto, I think hes gonna take some shots and people are gonna be shocked on how well he can take some punches. Hes been hurt badly by a punch that he didn't see. Anyone would get hurt by that. Its simple. No chin or not, Cotto has the heart to back it up and that's all that matters. Tony is in for a tough fight as well as Cotto is.

It's inherently wrong, because your speculation is not three dimensional. On the surface it works, but you over rely on it. Or so it seems.. You're trying to critizise Cintron's punching technique to make your point. That's BS, Shawn. It seems like you'll twist anything to protect your concept. It's entertaining though.

Non existent would be a better term for his defense.
