i can see cotto definitely making a statement here and peppering margarito with those fast hands, and ignoring the body and then when margarito can't take the heat upstairs thats when he'll step up the body attack and get him out of there.

it wont be as big a deal the day after this fight when the two different class of fighters are in the ring.

Cotto TKO 11, with Margaritos lenghty body, I can imange it redened by body shots and his face swelled up twice as bad as Gomezs for being open. Corner or ref stops it, or knocks out silly.

Miguel Cotto is like Chad Dawson. They can give out tremendous ass whippings, but they aren't so good at taking them.

I promised a few concerned members here that the Gomez fight was my last underdog bet - so believe I'm taking Margarito in educated fashion. I don't expect any Cotto fans to jump ship on him though.. And I won't give them a hard time about. Especially seein as how I never do that..

Maybe Cotto could surprise the people who don't think he could stand up to Margarito's pressure - the way Dawson did Johnson's tonight, but I personally wouldn't count on it. Cotto can't hurt Margarito. On the other hand...

Although I would expect Cotto to enjoy significant advantages in handspeed and mobility as I expected him and them tonight.

Cotto is a great combination and counterpuncher so he'll be able to hit Margo when Margo least expects it: while he's throwing at Cotto. I disagree with those here who say that Cotto cannot hurt Margarito. Cotto doesn't have one-punch power, that much is obvious, but he has heavy hands and punishes you over the course of a fight.

Look at Malignaggi's, Quintana's, Abdulaev's, Branco's, Gomez', and Judah's faces after their fights with Cotto. In every one of those fights, the fighters looked like they'd gone 15 rounds with a prime Tyson. His hands might not carry a ton of power, like Cintron, David Haye, or Pavlik, but he can break you down over the course of a fight. If he can withstand Margo's pressure and volume, he can break him down as the middle rounds progress and sweep the later rounds. Body work is key, tho, but we know Cotto is one of the best body punchers in the game. That will cause Margo to slow down just enough for Cotto to take the last four rounds and earn him a decision.
