I'd be very interested in seeing how Cotto would adapt to someone stronger and tougher than himself.
Marg may be slow as hell, but he's big compared to Cotto.
    And Margo throws the exact kind of punches that Cotto does not like;
Long, hard uppercuts through the middle.

Cotto is the better boxer, no doubt about it, but Margarito's strenghts are formidable against Cotto's weaknesses in my honest, true opinion

      co-signs..

You know Tony will be putting out the big numbers for this fight, he will throw about a 100 a rd, he's done this b4. It just comes down to the wills of both fighters. I feel that Tony will come on top with a TKO between rounds 7-10. This is his PAYDAY, and sets up for another one with a rematch.

I wholeheatedly agree with you, and I'm well aware of Cotto's bodywork ability, and his tendency to shock and surprise. It still wouldn't happen.

There were alot of people getting happy talking about how Cotto would knock out Shane Mosley. A guy who had never been knocked out ever. Not in the amateurs or the pros. Has Margarito ever been knocked out? Has he even been knocked down? The guy is ****ing solid.

          Cotto's weakness was at 140..

at 147 Cotto was nowhere near of being knockout.. He has dominated 147 and will continue..

Yeah, I'm sure he'll be the next Sugar Ray Hearns Robinson, with a hint of Lamotta beard thrown in.

              I totally agree, Tys. ^^

Cotto is a good little Boxer with great mobility and timing, but eventually Margarito would catch up to him and slow him down and stop him in his tracks. Antonio Margarito is a long, strong guy and he's painfully slow at times - but he's got some deceptive moves and he's far from a lumbering oaf. He knows how to find his man. He's also got mixed speed in his arsenal. Some of his shots come just as fast as anyone in the division.

Margarito is a tremendous inside fighter and a relentless finisher. Mayweather and Mosley both turned down 8 million dollars to fight this guy. All the internet name calling and nut hugging doesn't change cold harsh reality. Margarito is an anvil on someone 5 or 6 inches shorter than him. He's only ever had trouble with guys his size or bigger.

Not only will Margo give Cotto his first L, he would brutally stop him too.

                Ricans, your hero will fall.

Cotto will win UD or KO in Late Rounds..

Cotto was folding and backing up and getting caught while being pressured by mosley. If he thought that was pressure wait till he gets in the ring with margarito. His chin better be ready for hundreds of punches a round from all angels!! Cotto has really improved on his speed and now has a great jab. This fight should be a classic!!!
yeah really ... i cant see margarito gettin stopped lol...hes way 2 tough

Cotto by close UD/SD, he will HAVE to box Marg sufficiently to come out with a victory. I would LOVE to see Marg vs Mosley now that I think about it,that would be a war.
