Margarito resume doesn't compare to Cotto's Tony alredy have 5 losses with only 3 notable fights: 1 vs PW and he lost, and 2 wins to a overated Cintron.

I will put all my points on Cotto over Margarito. Any takers?

He is taller, but the reach you speak of is wingspan (measured from the tip of the middle finger to the tip of the other middle finger while the fighter holds his arms out straight to his sides). What I'm talking about is arm length, measured from the arm pit to the end of the fist, which is a better indicator since some fighters might have wider shoulders which increase the wingspan but don't affect the actual "reach" a fighter has in front of his body.

Both Cotto's and Margarito's arm length is the same, 23 1/2" (you can see this in the HBO Tale of the Tape before each fight). So Margarito might have the height advantage, but not the reach advantage.

Margarito will KO Cotto....Cotto was rocked by Shane and Judah at 147....Margarito throws hard if not harder and will throw more punches...I think Cotto will back out the fight.

Anybody a huge Cotto fan? Watch alot of tape? Have a look at the Quintana fight. Carlos buzzed Miguel with a straight left at the end of the first round as the bell rings. You can see he winces after impact and wobbles a little bit on his way back to his corner.

I have a weird feeling...that Cotto vs. Collazo or Clottey will be next...Arum wont put Cotto in their with Tony.

Margarito lacks defense, Cotto can pick his shots easily, on the back.

3 of his losses was early in his career, so I wouldn't really count him out because he has 5 losses.

Glen Johnson gave Chad Dawson hell with 11 losses.

Honestly, I doubt it as well for several reasons. I'll believe it when I see it. There were some slightly new developments last night.. Antonio says it's been signed but the doubts linger.

Arum may get happy with how mobile Cotto looked last night, and HBO's politics, and try to dream up a new way to get Mayweather before he has Margarito crush him.. Although he might still be interested in boosting Margarito's stock with a win over Cotto.

Cotto's fanbase is solidly intact now. It was looking like **** Germany in there with all those flags waving last night..
