Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito

You think so? I agree with you about the compact, quicker punching being a huge advantage. I think he'll take him apart late in the fight, but Margarito just seems so durable.

It's gonna be a great fight though. It could certainly live up to Castillo/Corrales type action, maybe without all of the late theatrics though. That 10th round...man...Corrales was a warrior.

AM can take some leather. He took some damn hard punches from Cintron Saturday. I remember when Clottey tagged him with a counter right in the 2nd or 3rd round that probably would've dropped anyone else too. I just think Cotto's gonna wear him out & beat him to the punch consistently. The one punch AM is open for that Cintron didn't throw enough was the straight right. He kept looping his right & it wasn't landing with authority. If this fight can get to Corrales/Castillo status (which I think it has the potential) we could have a great trilogy.

Yeah but Ricardo Torres ain't no Margarito, and Margarito would never get koed by Cotto ,his mind and his Balls wouldn't let him go down too much pride, On the other hand we have seen Cotto Rocked several times when hit to the chin by Mosley, Juddah, Torres, Mosley almost had him in his last fight, So I see there is no way Cotto knocks him out . Margarito would also pressure him the whole fight Miguel would look dumb running trying to box and knowing cotto hes a brawler too so he would have to engage with Marg. Tonys pressure would make him fight him all night long . Yes Marg ain't the fastest but hes very consistent with his punches and pressure thats how he wins fights, Everybody was talking about Cintron's power and we all saw when he hit him with his best shots and Marg just smiled at him , a couple of days ago a lot of fans had Cintron by ko over Marg, So I really think Cottos best chances are to the body but still like that I dont think Marg can be Koed, Cotto can because Marg hits harder than Juddah and Mosley and Torres slow as a turtle your right but damn does he make up for it when he has the pressure and is hitting you but thats my opinion pretty soon imma have people saying Mosley Juddah and Torres hit harder than Marg.

He needs to fight a smart, disciplined fight though because I don't think he can hurt Margarito but Margarito can hurt him. Cotto needs to outbox Margarito, not outbrawl him.

that's the problem, i don't think cotto has the skills to dance around the ring or fight backing-up, he is working on it, but he thinks he is looking good doing that and he is not, i got to admit floyd is one of the best at that (defense),
im a floyd hater and he is the best at that......so i'd pick margarito on this one all day

some people just don't really know the sport of boxing. this is a toss up fight. this is cotto's biggest challenge same goes for margarito. I laugh at the 40 something votes saying cotto is going to ko margarito. That alone should show you the knowledge of some of these posters

i also believe, that cotto boxing is not a good idea,
because he is not a boxer he is a brawler that comes in and kills you right away, changing his style game is already affecting him in my eyes,
he is not use to it yet, margarito won't stop coming cotto is gonna run out of ideas, now mayweather would just cruise the whole fight against anyone em'
