I kinda agree with you but anything can happen in boxing, The thing is i really find it difficult to pick Cotto in this fight..But if it goes to a decision i dont think Margarito would get it.

Actually what would happen if Margarito Ko's Cotto? Because all i hear is Mayweather should fight Cotto, So if Margarito beat Cotto like he did Cintron(Not say he would) would people call for Margarito/Mayweather or still want to see Mayweather/Cotto?

i think maywetaher is out of the picture hes not fighitng any top rank fighters if margarito wins a rematch would likely take place
and i agree with cotto getting a decision if it goes the distance i think cotto has some home advantage at new york

I can't see it happening. Cuts and swelling is just about the only way...you're right about that.

I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility that Cotto lands some monstrous body shot in a bad area, but Margarito doesn't seem to have any "bad" areas. The guy comes to fight in great shape.

Cotto by close decision or Margarito by mid-late TKO are the smart bets.

As far as ability goes, Cotto matches up better with Mayweather. He's a smaller, quicker, more compact puncher with more versatility. He makes adjustments in fights and is about as tough as it gets.

Margarito would have a lot more trouble with Floyds foot speed, hand speed and accuracy. The hit and run game would be in full effect, Tony couldn't deal with that.

Margarito matches up well with Cotto because he's facing significantly less of that. Cotto will engage more and will be FORCED to engage more because he doesn't possess some of the same gifts that Mayweather possesses.

Because of these things, whether they are true or untrue, I think many would still want Cotto/Mayweather to happen. Margarito would have earned his right to fight him though.

This will be a great fight, definite contender for FOTY But.. IMO Cotto is a cut above Maragrito. Despite everyone being convinced that he's invincible. Cotto will beat Marg to the punch everytime and ultimately get the better of him.
