But if he retired at heavyweight... he would of never matched what Bob Fitsimmons did 106 years earlier...Who gives a damn? The man was fast enough, with lightening relfexes, not to get hit. His jaw was certainly strong enough to take some punches from a full fledged heavyweight, among others. Had Roy retired at 34, there wouldn't be any question about his jaw, and it would be hard to picture anyone beating him in his prime. To me, it still is.
Go from middleweight to heavyweight, and then BACK DOWN to light heavyweight and win...
ROy wouldnt of accomplished what he set out to accomplish...
After he beat tarver the 1st time he should of retired... knowing it was his worst performance, and his body went through hell to keep his weight down after adding all that muscle...
