I would give Hagler the advantage against Roy.
Hagler never fought at 168 (therefore we can't judge how he would do at that weight) so it has to be at 160 where Hagler was at his best and Roy was not.
Even if prime Jones from SMW&LHW somehow makes weight for 160 he would lose IMO.

Leonard and Hearns are great but they had their best days at 147 & 154 so I see Roy beating them.
Young Roy vs experienced Hearns at 160 could end in a defeat for Roy though, Hopkins caught Roy with some right hands when they fought.
But prime Jones at 168 beats aging Tommy.

Duran is no contest. Or who knows, Duran could pull of great performances against bigger men (Hagler, Barkley) but the fight against Hearns makes me doubt his chances veery much.

Duran had his "on" days, like his first fight with Leonard, and his "off" days, like Leonard 2 and that awful beating Hearns gave him.

Why pick a weight and say a great fighter was over rated because he had few fights in that division ,,,, a great fighter is a great fighter regardless of the division he was in the most , topics like this are nothing more than just trying to hang some **** on a great fighter ,,,,,, its like saying Floyd is over rated as a jnr welter , Ali is over rated as a Lt heavy , Duran is over rated at middle etc etc ,,,,, the point is when a great fighter is in his prime he would be great in any division that his weight allowed him to make without handicapping himself ,,,,, as for Roy at middle , in his prime he would be able to hang with the best of any era ,,,,, all the great fighters , and there have been many throughout history are all standing at the pointy end of the pyramid and its not actually a sharp point but a plateau , believe it or not they really dont have a real lot between them in terms of fighting ability , the one firing on the night , the one that came into the ring in the zone would decide more wins than all the would haves could haves and resume stacking banter from people standing at the wide end of the pyramid will ever decide , thats just a fact of all F1 competition whether it be boxing or dog racing .

ROY did not spend hardly enough time at middle to judge him against the atg's of the middleweight division! Roy in his prime would have beaten or given hell to most guys at any weight from 160-175! ur talking about on of the best fighters of this era!

I agree. If Hagler knew that he couldn't out box you, then he would bring the fight to you and make you fight. I just cant see Roy being in a war like that.

Roy Jones is hugely over-rated but not as bad as say Winky Wright.

I do like the way Jones and Nady took Ruiz apart was a masterful tagteam that night.

I wouldnt say you would even notice Jones speed at 160lbs over a prime 78-83 Marvin Hagler not at all.

Jones may outscore the version that beat Hearns and Leonard but Hagler at his peak was fast and relentless.

                      Ko within 8.
