Cotto will be a 20-1 favorite over Gomez. What about that is excellent?

Gomez is definately a spoiler, Cotto better not sleep on the kid or he might find himself in a bad situation.

Cotto just put the whoop on Judah and Mosley in 2007, don't he deserve an easier fight in the meantime before floyd comes out of hiding?

Gomez has beaten Ben Tackie and Arturo Gatti in his last two outings. HBO would televise. [details]
My GOD Cotto, you and Arum chose not to jump in Cintron's place to fight Williams, instead to fight Gomez?! Alfonso Gomez? Ummm, ok, but surely going from wanting to fight Floyd to Gomez is just a sign of desperation and it's apparent once more that Arum is protecting his cash cow until he can finally cash in.

No, he already fought a Judah coming off losses and an old man past his prime, it's time for him to step up and face an undefeated prime fighter around his own age! This is why they're ducking Williams and going after contender stars. This is a disgrace and Floyd would NEVER stoop so low. I can't believe this. smh..

in the meantime before floyd comes out of hiding?
How dare you mention Floyd hiding when he's never opted to fight a champ in the place of a contender star? Hiding from what? A bully who fights old men, half-focused former champs coming off losses, and contender stars who can't even Win the contender or even make it to the final?

I understand "showcase" fights and dont have a problem with them, but it must suck for Margarito considering his "showcase" is against a fighter better than him.

The truth is probably so that Arum can keep him away from JCC Jr.

That's exactly right, the majority of the world won't make the same mistake twice and buy the fight.
