    Cotto-Gomez, Margarito-Judah on April 26?

According to a recent report in El Nuevo Dia, a double-header is in the works to match WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (31-0, 25KOs) against Contender star Alfonso Gomez (18-3, 8KOs) on April 26 in Atlantic City. Gomez has beaten Ben Tackie and Arturo Gatti in his last two outings. HBO would televise. [details]

Two tune up fights to set up Cotto-Margarito in the summer.

A DLH-Mayweather rematch wouldn't get anywhere near 2 million buys after the borefest they put on.

Fighting Gomez would get Cotto more exposure in the US? He didn't get enough exposure after beating Judah and Mosley? I guess this is Arum's way of setting up a Cotto vs Margarito fight down the line.

          Cotto TKO's Gomez in 5.

          Margarito TKO's Judah in 10.

great showcas for margarito and cotto......Gomez has heart and can take a punch and trades shots - he should give an entertaining fight....judah should make things interesing before geting brutally KO'ed(I hate Margarito BTW...)

i wouldnt have a problem with these fights on HBO WCB to be honest...

No, it wouldn't get anywhere near 2 million buys. The thing is, it doesn't have to get anywhere near that. If there is a million buys less, it still reaches 1.5 million, which is huge money for both fighters.

I think Cotto should get De La Hoya if Mayweather won't fight him.

Oh well, at least it is a superfight. Whenever a superfight is made I'm happy.

Perfect scenario: De la hoya vs. Cotto in a thump-out with the winner squaring off with Mayweather later in the year.

How will the Cotto fans defend him on this one?

                    Let me tell you:

                    * Alfonso beat an Undefeated Prime Peter Manfredo Jr
                    * Alfonso stopped Arturo "Thunder" Gatti after Carlos Baldomir
                    * Alfonso is 0-1-1 against Jesse Feliciano
                    * He has 8 KO's in 18 fights and he can shock the world
                    * He beat the greatest fighter of our era Ben Tackie
