Why is Floyd's fanbase so small?

You are comparing apples and oranges, i dont give a **** who likes 50 cent, im talking about mayweather and im talking about my experiance with *gasp* MY PEOPLE when it comes to their perceptions on boxing and boxers in general, i can play the race card if i want, because its my ****ing opinion.

they pay him mind because of his accomplishments. they dislike him for his high almighty attitude, his CHERRY PICKING (call me a "hater" all you want but im not alone in thinking this) and him insultiing fighters for no reason and knicking some of the greats of the sport that have paved the way for him and other great fighters.

HE and DIEGO(rip) had a BEEF...and some not trash talkling fighters will talk trash when they have a beef.. but some of the stuff Floyds says is just plain stoopid

LOL @ paying him mind because of accomplishments, when Cotto/Chavez Jr/Hatton etc have far bigger fanbases when floyd at 18 fights was fighting a hall of famer and making preperations to clear out the division. The "cherry picking" accusation didint start until judah lost and he fought him, thats when that **** started. Again, i know for a fact you aint followed his career that long, because the **** you say and the way you address it, for the most part you say the obvious, but you also have an agenda for whatever reason, most of your criticisms are not that objective, and anytime someone gives you a valid reason to your argument you simply dismiss it and use one sentence to further your own argument, you are hardly ever rational and simply use vices to force your opinions down peoples throat without taking the time to consider the dynamics of everything thats being said, for the most part, you are easily one of the worst posters on this board.

and as far as cherrypicking goes, he is in the deepest division in boxing and yes he is cherry picking... some people say he cherry picked since 135..

I dont ever remember Ali throwing money at the camera reminding everyone how rich he was. What I do remember is Ali fighting the people were the biggest threat to him. The average fan doesnt dislike Floyd because of his trash talk towards his opponents, but his constant need to remind everyone of what they are not and what they dont have.

Let's start like this,

Your saying fights like a Mosley fight didn't happen because of Floyd? If I remember correctly Floyd was saying he wanted Mosley but Mosley had a toothache and needed some time.

Marg at the time was completely unknown to the general public and if the fight would of materialized he would of got absolutely no credit from most so-called boxing fans on this site. I can't understand how someone who won a vacant belt be considered the #1 WW without any note worthy opponents on his resume.

And as far as the Cotto fight is concerned give it a little bit of time that fight will definately come off. Too much money for Floyd to turn down.

So as far as who Ali and Toney fought well they fought top names that the general public who followed boxing knew of and wanted those fights and besides that there wasn't as much politics in boxing as there is now.
