Sounds like the same bull**** to me. Did Hatton bring more to the table 5 months ago that Cotto does now? He's going to have to fight De La Hoya.

      do you even hear yourself?

Don't get me wrong. I agree that a Cotto fight makes big money, so it should make 'sense' to Mayweather as he likes to say, but if Oscar fought me we would do a million PPV buys. Your statement that Cotto and Oscar would sell a million is pretty meaningless. Comparing a Cotto-v-ODLH fight with the Floyd-v-Judah really is comparing apples to oranges. Also, as much as I have argued in the past about Mayweather's exaggerated drawing power (he was not a draw before the Oscar fight), the exposure from his last two fights really has raised his star and drawing power.

I agree with those people who say that Floyd is just going to sit back for a little bit (no way is he sitting for anywhere close two years) while the whole Cotto idea heats up. As much as I am loathe to admit this, Floyd's not a dumbass, so he definitely sees the money potential of a match with Cotto. Beyond that, he knows he can win this fight.

After watching that fight (complete with Cortez' inept refereeing) I am convinced that Money Mayweather cannot possibly be beat. He would destroy Cotto without a shadow of a doubt. I really dislike the pretentious person Mayweather is but he is a master strategist. I don't like him because it seems that his fear of losing is greater than his will to win. I also think it's bs how he keeps wanting to retire and come back when the money is nice. It works for him cuz he makes more money and I can't knock him for that, but he shouldn't deceive the fans like that. Also, he should be thankful for Oscar De la Hoya and Ricky Hatton because I know for damn sure nobody is paying to watch his boring ass fighting style.

All this crap happening right now could just be pre-meditated fight hype. Look at the interest already

Of course it is, now all they need is for Cotto to beat a few weak rivals like Margarito or Williams and then CHACHING! Money!

Highly unlikely. That's the winning formula: Put a hated unbeatable Mayweather against a hungry and strong warrior with a huge fanbase. I would rather not see this fight happen cuz I don't want "Money" Mayweather to keep cashing in on that style of boxing.

                      That's a pretty weak response.
