Thats the problem its all about money and not sport and credibility. Now his excuse is that theres no money in that fight just like he saud aabout margarito, and went and took a fight with Baldomir. He was a champ but what money was there in that. It wasnt about the only about money it was over the fact that he new he had no chance against him (Margarito) and less of a chance against Cotto. Stop sugar coating the fact that he does not want to fight Cotto, Cause hes SCARED he would get his ASS WUP!!!!!!!!

"unification bout between the two top welterweights in the sport"

This is all that matters...If Floyd doesn't want Cotto, let it be.

Floyd will never face Cotto - that would be too much of a risk! PBF wants to keep his "0", so he'll fight a safer opponent, someone smaller or past prime.

According to the paper, Cotto's pay-per-view with Shane Mosley generated a buyrate near 360,000, a far number from Mayweather-De La Hoya, which generated well over over 2 million buys.

There's no way they'll get 2 million buys for the rematch.
Mayweather V De La Hoya was boring as hell anyway.

"If [Mayweather] thinks he has a chance to lose, he won't take a fight," Arum said. "He's afraid to lose, and that's a horrible, horrible thing. . . .'

I can understand that, but dodging serious contenders doesn't make you a great champion. P4P or no P4P, $ or no $.

Floyd Mayweather might be the best boxer NOW but not the best ever. People are learning that.
