i think hatton being remembered internationally in britain has more to do with the fact that hes one of the few top level fighters you guys actually have, whereas in america as arrogant as it sounds, we will continue to have top level fighters up and top divisions for as long as our fighters continue to come up in our amatuer program, winning and being trained by good trainers.

Agreed........that is the truth. As far as the Whittaker analogy goes, that is true as well, but it does make a difference in that some fighters could sell a fight by their name only...ie...Ali, Tyson (tho I hate to admit it), and a very few others. Floyd isn't in that genre and that's relevant to the discussion.

Wiley, I disagree. Mayweather is a name that can sell a fight. I think it's been proven and the common denominator in all of Mayweathers bouts that are victorious on the number side is Mayweather. He's a draw. It definitely does not matter who the bigger draw is. Mayweather IS a draw. Period.
