And....the point was that this proves nothing since neither 30,000 American or Mexican fans would travel over there to see De La Hoya either, like 30,000 Americans didn't travel to Zaire to see Ali vs. Foreman. Americans aren't that fanatical and no one of that stature would compel Americans by and large to do all of that, regardless. Americans watch TV, buy ppv, and consume.

is vegas now Floyds home? If floyd was fighting say alfonso gomez would he be able to sell out the biggest arena in vegas, say for example a 40,000 seaster stadium?
Now Ricky would sell out the city of Manchester stadium with a capacity of 48,000 against ANY fighter u could think of
So who has the biggest fan base then?

I've asked this question before and could never get an answer from you Brits. How come Hatton can sell 48,000 tickets, but needs to come to America and sell 10,000 for his biggest payday? If he's capable of selling in England then why isn't he getting paid?

Why would Floyd be fighting Alfonso Gomez and how would we know unless it happened? Would millions of viewers tune in to see the outcome? Probably so.

How do you know that and when is the last time that happened? Sources? Would he sell out anywhere outside his hometown? Can he gross over 100 million in ppv buys by fighting De La Hoya? Would that fight have been so successful if it were Hatton instead of Floyd?
So who has the biggest fan base then?
Overall, or in England? Overall, Floyd. More people in America knows who he is and America is bigger. More people know him in the U.K. than Americans know Ricky.

Ricky's never even had a ppv and nobody in the states knows him. Floyd is definitely the draw. 20,000 fans is chump change compared to 2 million pay per views.
Oscar got 2 million not Floyd. Oscar can get 2 million people to watch him sleep.

Hatton is the draw for this fight. However, Floyds status as being the p4p best and his personality is doing alot to sell the fight.

Hatton came to Boston and there were less than 8k people there.
