You need 2 big names to sell a fight not just 1..Dela hoya sold 900,000 homes when he fought Maryorga with a the public verbals maryorga gave him..but against Mayweather they did 2.4 millions homes...if the 2 didnt come together then that wouldnt happen.
there were more people in those arenas to watch Ricky than there was collazo or castillo though

The biggest Hatton sold was against tyszu which was 20,000 people before that 10,000-12,000 people use to watch him fight for his WBU belt...The only person who just sold that sort of ticket was Joe calzaghe when he fought Kessler and 50,000+ people turned up.

They were feeding Hatton chicken scratch in the U.K. If Floyd hasn't always been a bigger draw (meaning, he draws in more fan dollars), then they couldn't afford to pay him so much while giving Hatton crumbs. Floyd is also getting the lion's share from this fight, so Hatton stans are just in serious denial.

People will pay to see Floyd get beat. That's the draw. Since Hatton has a reasonable chance of accomplishing the goal, the fight is drawing attention. Floyd is not even close to top flight marketing status though. Not even close. You guys act like Floyd is a household name, like Ali, or even Tyson. Trust me, he isn't. He is known to the boxing public only. Floyd needs quality competition to draw numbers. This is his great drawback. Sit up and face the facts. This is the truth.

PPV is the only way all of us are going to watch it, but either way, Hatton is making record purses fighting in the USA and hes not exactly packing arenas to max capacity here, this is where the money is also because fighters have been getting ****ed for years by promoters back when it was "about boxing", this is why it is the way it is, fighters demanding PPV shares and gate revenue because of promoters using these guys for what they are worth and leaving them broke.

I had a feeling that all of this 48,000 bull crap was a figment of people's imaginations.
