So in his 21 title defenses, 19 of his opponents have been stiffs who posed no serious threat to him. After Calzaghe beats five Ring Magazine champions in five weight classes or, more modestly, beats five world class opponents, then you can mention his name as a possible P4P contender. For now, call him what he is, a good fighter who has spent most of his career fighting limited competition.
GOOD POST and I agree with you 100%.

well you making seemd you dont like Floyd personally but got his skills and talent he is p4p champion by the Ring Magazine and many other boxing expert.

you know going from 130 to 154 getting title is not an easy take and he is still undeafted for some reason.

Imagine it like this Calzaghe going from SMW going to HW will he stand a chance some of the guy at CW and HW e****ally? There is alot of weight around them and Calzaghe could be KO just by hitting them because he got hands problem for long time ago.

and i know little of boxing is true but i know enough to judge how the fight is going to go on.
You just made yourself look ****** TWICE in one sentence. TWICE.
#1. You just compared Jirov to Calzaghe.
#2. You just said Joe is not a masterful boxer.

This forces me to ask you a few questions.
#1. Have you EVER seen Jirov fight?
#2. Have you EVER seen Calzaghe fight?

There is a HUGE difference between a true southpaw and a man that just happens to have his left foot 2 inches behind his right foot while he is walking forward.

Hey man that's bull****, he does make a valid and interesting point. First and far most he put on a BRILLIANT DISPLAY against Kessler this past Saturday. IMO the only other names that sticks out on his resume` is Eubanks & Lacy. Who else has he fight to earn the PFP top spot. I willing to hear your thoughts!!!

well as a work rate they are similar and not the same.

in boxing terms you are comparing Micheal Nunn to Joe Calzaghe, Nunn is a master of boxing and he could school even Roy Jones ass at his prime. You did compare Calzaghe to Nunn boxing. Micheal Nunn boxing skills > Calzaghe boxing skills. But Calzaghe most of the time throws alot of furries and a better pressure fighter than Nunn.

I didnt compare Jirov with Calzaghe but I saying that they have high workrate southpaw and told the difference Calzaghe have which make you a and ****** for not reading through whole of the post. do I have to put in bold so you could read it clear too,

Calzaghe and Jirov are high work rate southpaws which is similar in that term but Calzaghe puts his punchs in an odd angle unlike Jirov.

Floyd may be the #1 p4p BOXER, but Calzaghe is the #1 p4p FIGHTER. Calzaghe and Floyd are both talented, but what sets Calzaghe apart from Floyd is his HEART,BALLS and his willingness to take RISKS in the ring. Calzaghe is Undefeated and he has won all of his fights decisively. Floyd shouldn't even be undefeated, Castillo beat him and you could argue that the DLH fight was a draw.

well you could also argue that Robin Ried fight was Calzaghe L.

there is so many arguments you could make but going up on weight is not an easy task you lose alot of you power and speed carrying all this weight around and fight.
