Don't get me wrong, I think Calzaghe is a great fighter, but I don't think he's good enough to move up 24 pounds (or 4 divisions, whichever you prefer) from his natural weight to fight other good fighters.
No way that **** happens in the classic weight divisions and one belt. Floyd probably would have had to stay at 135. No way would he have won the WW belt with the crop of fighters we had 2003-2005. So, if you're talking about Oscar hydrating to his plump middleweight self, I would say...big deal. Oscar is a natural WW if anything. I don't give a damn about the lovehandles.

Mayweather's body has matured as he got older. Could he make 130 these days? Not a chance. And one fight against a semi-retired promoter with one fight in three years does not a 154 star make.

Sorry pal, but these are the times we live in. You can make assumptions and guesses about all kinds of "what ifs", but you're better off sticking with the facts. You can discredit Oscar all you want, but he's a tough fight for anyone out there. Calzaghe has been a great fighter in one division, Mayweather has been great in more than one. Its nothing against Calz, but he's not #1 P4P.

Jesus Christ people, Boxing isn't aesthetics.

Fighter A is either better than fighter B.

The guy who fighter A fought is either better than fighter B.

Not: "Oh he's my favorite, so he's the best" or "I would never rate him because I don't like him". That's called a ****ing bias, and it's just immature and ******ed.

Floyd is the man in boxing, end of story.
Why wont he fight a top welter then?

Exactly, people are always clamoring about 5 division belts, hell Hearns did that, and Oscar won 6, Floyd needs to unify at least one division to differentiate himself, or at least fight Mosley, Cotto or Williams.

Well over a third of the people in the poll so far disagree with you.

Because there aren't any that are on his level.

Also You can't use the "Why doesn't he fight a top welter" because he's slated and prepared to fight Hatton next month.

                      LMFAO.

Anyone could make for example a poll that asks:

Who produces the best fighters? Britain or the United States? And the majority of the votes would come from U.K. fight fans voting for their guys.

                      bias knows no boundaries.

If you don't think Floyd is the best fighter, you don't know boxing.
