Floyd didnt fight guys like Casa or Spaddy..yet he fought Sosa a guy Spaddy ALREADY beat?? way to clean out your division.
So it doesn't matter that De La Hoya was coming down from 160 back to 154 and Floyd was coming up from 147?

Please keep in mind that De La Hoya started at 130, and had to dry himself out like mad to get down there. See how fast he got out of that weight class? Floyd probably could have started at 126... instead he started at 130, and stayed there for a long time... because he was not as big as someone who had to dehydrate himself 100% to get down there.

I think Floyd stayed at 130 so long, SO HE WOULDN'T HAVE TO FIGHT A PRIME DE LA HOYA.

I'll shelve that next to the prime Castillo vs. Hatton claim.

Any other gems you want to add?

Carlos Baldomir was robbed vs. Mayweather perhaps?

I never ever said Castillo was prime, in my original statement I said he was fading when he fought Hatton. And Baldomir was a club fighter at best.

Sorry, not prime, just an A class fighter. Which is even worse, how ****ing good do you think he was in his prime? I mean, if he is A class when he is faded, what letter comes before A that you would give to Castillo?

And since fighters mature physically as they get older, that's not exactly fair. Example James Toney p4p at 160, hell yeah, at 237, no way.
Well since we are discussing todays p4p ratings, we have to use the fighters at their current weight, and current abilities. No doubt Floyd at 130 was much better, same with James Toney at 160, but in order to be ranked p4p today, you have to be p4p today.

I have always felt that a fighters last 2 fights are a good measure of wear they are as a fighter, 3 if one is a tuneup. 1 fight could be a fluke, but 2 fights indicated a trend.

...........A+..............which is what Castillo was in his prime, IMO.

Nobody drops half a letter grade when their balance is so bad. Castillo really would have gotten charged with a DUI if he had gotten pulled over on the way home from that fight. Pretty sure walking a straight line was an impossibility for that night.

If Castillo was A that night... he must have been A++++++++++++++++++ in his prime.

A club fighter who went around the world to fight and get his chance as well as staying undeafted for couple of years and about 19 fight is a hard thing to do.

He got his chance against Zab and fought he ass off.

There is this interview with Kenny Brain after pre-Zab fight people said he should be fighting Baldomir
