I wasn't using it to descibe Hatton or Mayweather.

I was using the term to stress a very important point you had overlooked.

That point is, Intelligence has nothing to do with eating Habits, drinking Habits, social disorders and just about every other problem most people have.

After all, by your definition, intelligent mean perfect- lemme know when you find someone like that!

Only a true idiot would think intelligence is a factor where human behavior is concerned!

How do u get GENIUSES that are alchoholics, drug addicts, child abusers, and just plain worthless human beings if what you believe was the case?

      EQ > IQ.

      Agreed?

Tough one Dios, But yes i would lean more towards EQ being greater!

it depends on the individual. one can have a huge IQ and an even larger EQ, so it's tough to say!

I don't understand how a 5' 6" Hatton should naturally be at "middleweight." lol Sometimes, I think Vladimere is truly a 16 year old kid...going back and forth from his computer and his comic book collection.

Yes but the initial post you reponsed was about Hatton. I said that he is not as smart as he puts on to be for doing what he does.

I'm not talking about intelligence.....I'm talking about smarts.
You can score real high on a IQ test but are you smart to stay out of trouble or make the right choices to be successful in life OR to stay successful.

Ricky is not making smart decisions to prolong his career. He is hurthing himself in the longativity department. That's where he is ******.

From a practical success standpoint, EQ > IQ.

Better to have somebody who is well in control of themselves, their lives and their emotions.

Raw horsepower is great. No real substitute for that. But if you don't have good rubber for that Hemi....

Read between the lines smart guy. I never said he should be fighting at middleweight. I said that's where he would be fighting if he wasn't draining himself. He walks around at 180lbs sometimes. He would need to lose 20lbs just to get to middleweight but he needs to lose 40lbs to get to jr.welterweight.

Most of his training camp takes weeks just to lose those extra pounds. He wouldn't need to do that if he was SMART enough to stay in decent enough shape without blowing up into a light-heavyweight in between fights.

correct- i agree completely on this! Eq is little understood in totality, but i'm sure the brain jockeys are making huge strikes in figuring out what makes us tick.

yes vlad, Hatton is very undisciplined, and it will catch up to him at some point!

duran, toney, and a few others have had similar problems. Do not underestimate determination where a fighters career is concerned. Many have been undisciplined and still been very succesful!
