Dont matter what he weighs in at , all it means is he isnt drying out to make 140 , they enter the ring at the same weight 148-150 on fight night ,, the only difference to weigh in weight and actual fight weight is fluid .Well it must be something to do with their differing metabolisms.
Hatton is the heavier man. If neither man ever trained, Hatton would weigh more than Mayweather. He's 5-6 to Floyds 5-8. Different metabolisms.
Everyone knows the short fat bloke. That would be Hatton if he wasn't training.
The difference is, this is boxing and a boxer will get down to his lowest weight possible in order to maximize any size advantage he might have. Its not exactly some new phase.
Floyd being the taller man, can carry the added pounds more efficiently however...and that for me, kinda nullifies Hatton being the naturally heavier man.
No boxer walks around at their fighting weight do they?
Personally I think Hatton won't be as effective if he weighs in at more than 144 against Floyd.Comment

He puts his whole body weight onto his opponent when Hatton clinches to wear down his opponent... Is that clever? I guess it isComment

Yes I know that. Thank you.
Dios likes to ask the question of who is the bigger man. Hatton is the shorter man but in everyday life he would be the heavier man.
People like to say that Hatton is avoiding fighting at higher weights even though he perhaps could.
Its about best fighting weight. 140 is Hattons best fighting weight.Comment

He most certainly was. You are just too young, I guess, to remember. Gonzales was a great Mexican fighter. When Oscar beat him in a comeback UD, the media hooped it up as pivotal for Oscar's career. If you want to say he wasn't "elite", that's your opinion, but he was formidable. Held the WBC lightweight title for years. Check it out yourself since you are unschooled on the subject.Last edited by Wiley Hyena; 10-27-2007, 04:08 PM.Comment
