Maxy,
There are many people who share that perspective.
You would have a hard time finding Tszyu on many (ANY?) ATG lists. And he isn't in the upper echelon of many (so-called) experts' top JWW's lists.
He was stopped twice at his best weight class by two contemporaries. Without redemption for either.
You have to acknowledge the fecal matter on his curriculum vitae.
Well it looks like Ring Magazine has him at #67 on the Greatest Punchers Of All Time. But what do they know?

Once again you're missing the point or you are just chosing to ignore it.Vladimere....history is replete with great champs having a bad night. I'll name another: Max Schmelling KOing Joe Louis. It's getting off the canvas to reclaim the championship...that's the mark of a true champion. In Tszyu's case, not only did he win it back, he unified the titles for the first time in 30 years. This is why he is HOF and one of the all time greats.
Vince Phillips was a bum AND Kostya never fought him again to avenge his loss. I'm sure he could have fought him since he became the champion again and Vince would have loved to get another shot at the title.
It never happened.
And he is not one of the All time greats....not even close. That one you pulled out of your ass again.Last edited by Vladimir303; 10-27-2007, 03:23 PM.Comment

I just wanted to ensure that you understood that there was IN NO WAY consensus around Tszyu's greatness.
....It's my way of saying that Tszyu has a ****ty resume.Comment

What point am I ignoring you little twit? The Mayweatherite point was to maximize Tszyu's loss to Phillips into some career destroying night. I just showed it wasn't at all. Now you're wanting to change the subject into some debate about whether or not Tszyu should have given a "rematch" to Phillips. Phillips won the first fight. Why is he now entitled to a "rematch?" lol The reasoning is so ******. By the time Tszyu reclaimed the titles, Phillips was a journeyman. Why would Tszyu waste time on a nowhere fight, when there are legitimate contenders that would bring big money fights?Once again you're missing the point or you are just chosing to ignore it.
