Rodbarker quote: "the great KT ran from a journeyman and then he quit on his stool , this you cannot deny and it has tarnished his legacy forever !"

You've just proven my point....that you're biased when it comes to Tszyu. Why would I want to respond to something as malicious as that? There's no dealing with you, Rod. You hate Tszyu and will look for anything to run him down. That's what you do. But, in spite of what you think, he will be going into the Hall of Fame, and he is generally considered one of the great 140s of modern times.

      Refer to post # 67.

I quoted you, but substituted "Floyd" for "Tszyu".

So, anybody who keeps bringing up Castillo 1 would be biased. According to you. Right?

Floyd, like the coward he is, will be running right from the opening bell.

Wiley, you keep using the same useless arguments.

            1. Kostya was still a P4P fighter at the time he fought Hatton... After beating Zab (which his only admirable win in the last 5 years of his career), he beat Ben Tackie, Jesse James Leija and Sharmba Mitchell. Along with a few shoulder surgeries. Can you honestly tell me that he proved from Zab to Hatton that he belonged among the elite fighters? How was there any way to know that?
            2. He still had a lot left in the tank. ... Really? He quit on his stool in a close fight with Hatton and never fought again. What more needs to be said?
            3. Ask Miguel Angel Gonzales... Why not ask one of the fighters that Oscar beat more convincingly? Why ask the ONE who Kostya KO'd sooner? Perhaps its you that is biased, not others who are trying to use reason.

I've said numerous times that I consider Kostya Tszyu to be one of the best to lace them up at 140. However, at the end of his career, he hadn't proven to still have that greatness after not having any great victories and multiple surgeries. Anything you say about him being great at age 36 is merely your opinion, but him quiting on his stool and never fighting again is a fact. And those facts lean towards him not having that greatness that he had earlier in his career.

I didn't know you were refering to Castillo I. Even though Castillo I happened in 2002, which makes it much more relevant, I would still say that singling out that one performance over and over in an attempt to discredit Floyd is overdoing it. If that's all one has to discredit Floyd, then admittedly, it's not much. Even Floyd is entitled to one bad night.

The issue is which was a greater accomplishment; Floyd v. Oscar or Hatton v. Tszyu? IMO conquering Tszyu was clearly the greater acheivement. He was p4p (Oscar was not), and he had been undefeated since 1997 (Oscar was not). I'm going with the facts here. You guys can think what you want.
