You obviously don't know your history from the looks of things either.

Let me break it down for you real quick son. Did you see the Walter Dario Matthysse vs Paul Williams bout? I doubt it. Any way... Little Walter put up a hell of a fight against Williams, he was allover Paul. Little Walter even rocked and rolled Williams a couple of times in that fight. I never thought much of the Argentinian fighter to begin with. It took Paul Williams 10 rounds to take out little Walter and Kermit Cintron took him out in 2 rounds.

I personaly do not think Antonio Margarito is all that but he has his moments and the fact that people everywhere were saying Floyd was afraid of him, made Tony out to be this monster when he really isn't. I will give Tony credit for knocking out Kermit and making him cry after the fight but, Paul Williams was not very impressive. Paul has his moment too but if you think fighters such as Cotto and Mayweather can not do a number on Paul, you better think again. Do you remember Thomas Hearns? One slick boxer Sugar beat him and one Brawler named Marvin Hagler beat him too. We have our Sugar Ray Leonard type fighter in Floyd and we have our Hagler type fighter in Cotto.
Yes there are many differences and I know them all too well. There can only be one Sugar Ray and only one Hagler. I am just trying to compare an era of fighters as close as can be done. Pual Williams can get smoked and just might soon enough. His pitter patter bs will be laughed off by fighters like Floyd and Cotto. When Paul get's beat, he will move up. He will get chased out just like Taylor got chased out of the Middle Weight division last week.
So don't hype up Paul until he is truly tested by someone great like Miguel Cotto or Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    Very good post.

im 50/50 on the actaul Marg vs P-Will fight.. Punisher kinda faded in the later rounds .. but won so many of the early ones stricktly on the fact that he was throwing so many damn punches .. Marg definetly landed some hard clean shots in the 9th 10th (dunno the exact rounds ... but he was hitting him hard) it doesn't matter that they weren't landing (P-Will's high punch output). judges see lots of punches thrown .. and are impressed.

**continued. If P-Will ran through a couple mandatory defenses .. and Cintron (picking up the IBF title) .. and still couldn't get a top level fight.

      then cry about being ducked

but the dude just won his title in July .. and hasn't done a damn thing since.

      Exactly.

      LOL @ P-Will

I think I will adopt that name, too. You are right, it's soo long to type all the time.

          You are too funny.

My take: Mainly because many of the welters are generally between 5'6'' to 5'9". Anything beyond 5' 11' gives you a clear cut, overall, physical advantage. Jr. middleweight's and middleweights are generally taller fighters. I'd be most impressed if he fought at jr. middleweight where the overall physical advantage isnt so evident. No props to the bigger man beating on smaller guys.

Advice: Step your game up Williams AND Margarito Until then You'll be doing nothing more than the obvious.

              Im actually gonna trademark P-Will

and charge people 15 cents every time its typed or said

so anyone feel free to refer to him as P-Will

              but it will cost you.

Could you be more specific? What is it you are in disagreement with Ray?

See that what I'm talking about right here. Why in the hell would he want a rematch when "The Most Avoided Man" avoided most of his activity in the first half of the fight. You sound very bias Gixxer and you need to STFU up with this Paul Williams is a ***** bull****.

I know Kermit is improving but didnt Margorito make him look like a ***** and make him cry so why would Paul Williams back track and fight Kermit when he beat the guy who made him cry

What would Williams/Pavlik look like at 160. I think Williams handspeed and size would trouble Pavlik. Williams has a decent chin. Pavlik would be at a size and speed disadvantage. He'd have advantages in power and that 160 is his natural weight.
I agree with most of your claim but sticking him at 160 is not a good idea. He could'nt KO Margorito and I seriously doubt he will be able to deal with those guys at 160 (just my opinion)
